I enjoyed a wonderful tour at Inspiration Ridge, to see the Sandhill Cranes, which were plentiful and looked beautiful with a spectacular background of mountain peaks and glaciers. Our friendly guide was very knowledgeable, so I went away with great information not only about the cranes, but also the local flora and fauna and history of the area.

We recently did the Creatures of the Dock tour with kids ages 4-14. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job interacting with all the kids! She was very patient with all of their questions and went with the flow, letting the kids choose which dock they wanted to go down and where they wanted to go searing for creatures. Overall a great activity for families!

Inspiration ridge hike was very nice. Great views, easy hike and very enjoyable learning about the plants and area. Under the dock tour would recommend for children. It shows anemities growing on side of floating dock and tells you about them. We spotted some very tiny jelly fish and a couple of very small dead crabs. You can just walk out on dock and look around yourself if you want. Not a whole lot to see and learn about. Kids should enjoy it but not enough creatures to see and learn about for me.

They were excellent with the two young children who went with us on our trip. We found everyone extremely knowledgeable and able to pass that knowledge onto adults and children alike. The oyster farm was so informative and we enjoyed tasting oysters and learning about the challenges of raising oysters. We highly recommend this trip.

Very nice one hour tour of the Homer docks! We found plenty of sea life, including anemone, a decorator crab, a sea star, and jellyfish and had the chance to hold the sea star. Great, educational tour suited for both kids and grownups!

Robin did a fabulous job leading our Inspiration Ridge tour on June 19, 2024. Despite being relatively new to the area, she did a terrific job explaing the ecology of the preserve, with an emphasis on plant life. Her skills as a guide were excellent and her enthuism infectious. Her caution when coming upon a Moose close by on the trail was entirely appropriate. My wife and I had a great time and would strongly recomend this tour to others.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Tree and Sea package tours. Our guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a ton and saw so many cool organisms!! We couldn't believe that the combined total for both tours was only $15 per person. We would have paid double for this quality without batting an eye!
