COTC has always helped me with guidance to obtain financial aid and get the resources I need. I was proud to become a nurse through their LPN to RN program. Now I look forward to starting the RN to BSN next. Thanks for all you do. If someone fails at COTC then they don't ask for the help they need.

This school is fraud and they scam in their financial aid office! Beware keep all paperwork since Fall 2023 been nothing but scandals with my aide. I had to drop my classes for Spring 24 but it’s cool they think they going stop me COTC just not for me and it’s okay!

This school is nothing but a joke. Especially the financial aid. They like to degrade you, talk down on you, lie to you, and never communicate with you to let you know that you need to turn something in to receive your money for classes and books. Before first semester started called them to see how much money I got they told me I didn't have none that they needed a bunch more paperwork. Just to get that paperwork done I had to drive there several times for a few seconds even though it was a 45 minute drive one way and I had to call multiple times since they wouldnt communicate with me. Second semester talked to financial aid they told me I was all good and was getting so much money for books then few days later get an email saying that they will be taking some money away but wasn't going to tell me.

I was here to get a degree in Early Childhood. I live in Delaware, Ohio but I liked the class sizes here. I was also very happy with the fact that many classes were online as well as in the evening and on weekends. Being someone who works full-time, this was perfect over my schedule. Over the years, I have watched the number of online classes dwindle. Now they are doing away with not only evening and weekend classes, but summer classes. They took away the entire summer semester in my field, so not only was I being forced to take classes in campus during my work hours, but I was losing the option to take classes during the summer. I'm a teacher and I'm off in the summer. COTC has really let me down. It used to be a college for the working adult. They are just following where the money is. I registered at another school and will not being recommending COTC to anyone I know. Such a shame.

Veteran Review:
I attended COTC and graduated with an Associates in Nursing. I can say that it was very cumbersome to attend COTC as a veteran. I utilized my Tuition assistance and needed to "push them along" the entire way. Every semester I had to contact veterans affairs and tell them what I needed them to do to approve TA. My understanding is that they needed prompted in every way and every time I needed something completed to allow me access to my tuition assistance. This includes having to pay for a semester out of pocket do to their delay in assistance and lack of ability to complete my necessary needs on their own. From my understanding, they should understand this. I am currently attempting to apply for my bachelors 2 semesters later and I am unable to receive tuition assistance, because COTC has not submitted my graduated status to TA and I am unable to attend classes as a consequence to said incident. All said and done: If you are a veteran, be prepared to coax COTC along to get what you need.

Spent money, time and energy to visit the school, get my transcripts to them etc... They knew right off rip what I was interested in, I did not come here "undecided." They called me like A WEEK before classes to let me know they wouldn't be doing the forensics program after all (this was fall 2018).
Looking back, when I went to register for a tour that summer, the forensics program was NOT on the website but the "advisor" reassured me they DID have the program, and that it was a website error.

Perhaps just a BIG misunderstanding.

I'll consider it a blessing things didn't work out. It could have been worse, they could have taken my money and offered me a worthless degree. The guy admitted that graduates weren't getting hired so I DO appreciate the honesty. Really. I do.

I... HATE... COTC! Its the nightmare that will never end. My husband leaves for the military in one week... His recruiter needs his college transcript, so that he can get a higher ranking, more pay and one of the jobs he wants. All he needs is the transcript. We went in on the 22nd and paid extra to have the transcript sent. They told us they would send it out that day or the next. Well today we saw his recruiter and he STILL hasn't received the transcript. We went into COTC and had to talk to them AGAIN about this. Oh did I forget to mention that when my husband first started seeing his recruiter, he paid extra to have his transcript and then they handed it to my husband, therefore making it unacceptable to the Air Force. This is not even close to the first problem either of us has had with them. Oh, maybe you all should check out there 'graduation rate.' Less than 20 percent of people even graduate! That is horrible.

If your want to be able to communicate with the school in a prompt manner, do not attend cotc. Most communication must be done via email, and you have to wait a minimum of a week to get a response. Also I was told I could complete my degree totally online, which turned out to be a lie. My math classes had to be completed on campus.
