Raising a child with Godly morals is getting more difficult in these times. As a single parent, these challenges are more difficult since you feel the world is against you anyway. CHEC has been God’s Devine blessing when my son needed to focus on his needs and education without traditional school-classroom distractions. I highly recommend attending the annual Rocky Mountain Homeschool conference annually in June to gain support, curriculum choices specific for your child, community and to glean all that CHEC is about. CHEC is more than another homeschool program, they are your homeschool support. They care about providing support for the single parent, education learning styles and access to a vast network of curriculum choices, access to legal support to defend your homeschool rites, they desire to know you and your homeschooler(s) by the variety of events through the year, and so much more. Thanks to CHEC we no longer are subject to only one method of schooling, our children have the means to explore many many educational adventures. CHEC also has a wonderful support team for parents homeschooling for the first time. Yes, you can do this. I’m glad I did and grateful for the time I got back with my son.

CHEC has been such a tremendous blessing to our family in so many ways. I truly thought there was no way I could homeschool my daughter. It seemed impossible and unattainable for me as I was a single parent, already spread too thin. After numerous experiences in both public and private schools that left my daughter damaged both emotionally and academically, I found I had no choice but to try homeschooling. She was suffering from debilitating migraines and was four years behind in both English and Math going into 6th grade. The guidance and resources I found at CHEC were truly a God send. I wasn't alone in homeschooling and had help the whole way through. Most importantly, the freedom we found in homeschooling allowed me to educate my daughter in a way that worked for her, allowing her to succeed and achieve her full potential. We discovered her learning style and were able to tailor her education to her needs making it an enjoyable and rewarding experience for both of us. I'm so grateful I took the plunge and had the expertise and guidance of CHEC along the way. No more migraines and my daughter graduated a confident, smart, well spoken and well educated young lady. I like how easy to homeschool under the umbrella of CHEC Independent School. My family get to attend CHEC conference each summer for FREE. CHEC staff is very helpful when I have questions. CHEC is a very good program for homeschooling. They can help you with anything you need and all you have to do is fill out an attendance sheet for them to re-enroll with them every year until your child graduates.
