My son loves Minecraft and he started to attend a Minecraft coding summer camp with Code For Fun. He loved it so much that we enrolled him in Code For Fun CS league. They meet every week to learn the basics of coding with Scratch. What I like about CFF is their curriculum. Each student creates their own video game to be presented at graduation day. They can count on a very professional coach to help them achieve their goals. CFF staff is nice and welcoming.

My son enrolled in the CS League and the Power Up with Python summer camp. He enjoyed the summer camp immensely, learned much about Python, and also completed many engaging projects. As to rooms for improvement, I wish the school can better guide kids to set up and consistently use the same account registered using their own email (if they have one, or one of the parent’s) so that they can easily save and access their work across different classes/computers and at home. Overall, I would highly recommend CFF classes for those who would like to grow their coding skills in a fun and supportive environment.

My 8 year old boy started last summer with a summer camp close to our house. 3 hours is a bit long for him, but the weekly 1 hour class is a perfect fit. All staff members are wonderful human beings. We feel listened and cared for. Adult-child interactions are always respectful, patient and kind. Vaughn, the program director is our Coding Buddha, highlighting the gold where you'd only see a rock of you had only your child's presentation and making it easy for the non tech parent to appreciate.
Carole at the front desk is also wonderful.
Just give it a try (free trial class to get to know your child and assign him/her to the right cohort)!

My 9 yr old son had so much fun learning to build games. He had very little Scratch experience before this class, but came out confident enough to complete his own projects. I could even hear him laughing through his bedroom walls. He's expressed interest in doing it again so 5* review, for sure!

My kiddo has attended a BUNCH of code camps, and Code for Fun is by far the best for both his enjoyment levels and the amount he learned. There are some other "code" camps he enjoyed because the instructors basically let the kids do what they wanted - so he watched youtube videos all day. And there are some that try to keep the kids on task but don't have very engaging teachers, so my kid ends up not wanting to attend. At Code for Fun, the teachers are creative and flexible, finding a way to meet kids where they are at and to give great suggestions for coding projects that incorporate their interests and abilities. I'm so impressed with the teachers' skill and highly recommend Code for Fun!

My son (13 years old) did the HTML Heroes camp online last week and really enjoyed it. He said the teacher was great and he learned a lot and finished the week with his own website.
