I heard about Laurie from a friend who used her services the year prior. I needed someone to help my daughter navigate the college application process. It was too much for us to figure out on our own. We were unsure of what to expect and felt overwhelmed. Connecting with Laurie was a blessing; she guided my daughter with monthly meetings, provided check-in responsibilities, and kept her focused on deadlines. While other students were stressed out with applications and essays, Laurie helped my daughter manage everything with ease. As a result, my daughter was accepted to all the schools she applied to (except SDSU). I highly recommend Laurie to anyone with a student preparing for college. She made the process straightforward for both of us and was always available to answer my many questions. 5++ stars!

If I could give 6 stars I would. I'll start off and say that my wife and I were very reluctant to think we needed the assistance of any college college coach when we started the college process for our two boys 7 years ago. My wife and I both have advanced degrees and thought we knew all about the modern application process. Boy were were wrong. Laurie adds so much value guidance and background that our family would have been felt like were were floating in a boat way offshore without a paddle. Our sons are quite different in personality and temperament and within a few meetings Laurie seemed to have worked out the way to operate and move forward with both of them. I feel that her understanding of their personality also played into a soft hand at guiding appropriate schools to be interested in/apply too. Both are now in perfect colleges for their strengths and interests and we were glad to have Laurie as essentially part of our family for over the past 1/2 decade. This goes unsaid but I was also so valuable having a third party helping in this four year process that wasn't me or my wife. Laurie's program starts planning for college essays right at the start of Highschool - so there was limited panic looking back and trying to figure out a story about what they did - it had been documented all along. I'm going to miss hovering near by listening to her meetings with our kids.

Laurie was great!! Highly recommend using her, especially if you don’t know where to begin with the college process. We started using her in the fall of junior year and she was able to guide us so well with everything…resume, essays, college list, applications, etc.
