The Aug. 15 newsletter is impressive with lots of new activities and offerings! I enjoyed the 3 summer jazz sessions and summer band, and am now looking forward to the fall New Horizons band.

We are very pleased with CMS! They do a wonderful job with teaching children and adults. I enjoyed my son's classical guitar lessons so much I have now taken up the instrument myself. My daughter has played violin for three years with Ms. Martha and has loved every minute. The faculty goes above and beyond for their students. The administration is actively involved and a pleasure to communicate with. Keep up the good work!

My daughter has taken lessons (piano, voice and oboe) with 4 different instructors over seven years and it has been a fabulous experience. The instructors are talented musicians but also very caring individuals. The office staff and director are also very approachable and helpful. I would recommend CMS to anyone interested in music lessons!

I decided to take up the cello at 52 years young at Community Music School. I’ve been playing for almost 8 months with an amazing instructor Tom Hudson. The staff is always very kind and greet me with a big smile every week. I recently performed in a recital that I was hesitant at first but my instructor encouraged me. I played my cello and sang a verse of the song. I received many compliments even from the executive director. Thank you Community Music School for making my life long dream come true. Karen P

Took lessons here for 8 years in oboe, piano, and voice and received excellent instruction in all areas. Recitals are celebratory of every student, regardless of age or ability, and you leave each time with a warm fuzzy feeling. Dr. Wyman (the current director) takes time to know every student, and helped me navigate music in the college application process. Truly a wonderful place that will leave a positive impact on your life.

I have 2 daughters who started with The Community Music School as 6 month old babies in their wonderful Kindermusik program. They continued straight through and are now in private piano instruction with a fantastic and attentive instructor, Nancy Thomas. I would highly recommend The Community Music School to any parent. In addition, they have programs for people of all ages and experience levels which I have heard amazing stories about. They also have a Music Therapy program and work closely with the local school systems to partner with educators of children who have special needs. Two thumbs up!!!

We have been attending CMS for at least 5 years for different instruments and with different children. One child spent all 5 of those years on the same instrument. CMS has teachers that are both talented teachers and talented musicians, a beautiful, inspiring combination. I'm thankful to have found a place that can accommodate multiple children on multiple instruments all at once, so I don't have to drive in multiple days. Also, I've been thankful for teachers that have been able to motivate my ambitious boys right through graduation while helping them achieve multiple music scholarships. Thank you CMS!
