Almost don't want to rate this place or give it a review because part of the charm of it is how quiet it is. Great for nature walks. Some of the trails are less than perfectly marked, and cell reception is spotty, so make sure to take a picture of the map at the entrance before venturing off.

Very nice small nature society with some turtles, hamsters and other small animals. Went here for a child's birthday and all the children had a great time.

Great sanctuary as well as trails. The chambuca trail (main one) was well kept and wide. We saw deer, turtles and titmouse along our walk. The main building has various reptiles (turtles, tarantula) as well as bird supplies and other items for bird lovers. The bird sanctuary had hawks, owls and vultures that were rescued and unfortunately cannot be released into the wild due to their injuries. We'll definitely be back again to walk the other trails!

Really enjoyed the trails and even the shop inside, live animals also inside like snakes and turtles and frogs and especially seeing the owls was so much fun. The trails were well managed and the signage was adequate. They supply a free map and a *suggested* donation of $2/per person. There’s a bathroom inside to use pre or post hike provided they don’t close up while you’re out. Some of the elevated boardwalks could slightly use some TLC but overall they were in good enough shape. No dogs allowed and check the hours as they do close early in the off season.

Great place for a nature walk or to see the raptors. Or kids love it. Make sure you go prepared with bug spray in the summer, can as it is mostly wetlands. You can make a quick trip into the farm pond or a long hike through the trails. Small donation is appreciated for the nature trail.
