This is an amazing facility and complex to see along with the several memorial sites that are in front of the main complex building. They include the Mattie #9003 memorial site, dedicated to the first trained and deployed accelerant detection canine and the Connecticut Fallen Firefighters’ Memorial, in memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice. Both memorials are significant, and pay tribute to all human and animals, that have and do service to keep us safe. There are several parking spaces that are available just in front of the firefighters’ memorial. So, if you have a moment while passing by this location, stop and give thanks to the fallen. Thank you all for your service.

I came for a one-day training and was blown away by the facilities and instructors' knowledge. There's a great school building with a pool and classrooms, plus a real fire bunker and advanced simulators.

The place is well-connected to the community and gets lots of donated gear. Hearing from the instructors gave me so much respect for firefighting.
