I would not recommend this training Academy to anyone I had 9 days left out of my 5 weeks course and I was being harassed by another officer in the class by the name of Officer Knell he started harassing me because he stated to me that one of the girls in the class was sending naked pictures of her self to one of the other class mates Officer Collins so I took and told the girl he she took and said something to him so he was upset that I said something so I took and said something standing up for myself and because I did that they took and kicked me out of the program but not once did anyone from the training Academy ask me what had happen they did not want to hear my side of the story and why I took and stood up for my self. They also was over looking that when Officer Knell and one of the commissary workers from a prison was argueing in the hall way because her another officer took and was helping Knell cheat on his test and after they helped him cheat so he can pass he stoped talking to them and the instructors and staff over looked that so they are okay with students cheating but not okay with people that are being harassed standing up for there self so if you have a choice to pick another site for training please do so because if you dont know someone or in the clicks that they have there you will be kicked out or treated badly.

Great instructors, well experienced staff. Training Officer Jones always makes for a fun time. Would not want to go anywhere else for training. They take safety and everything within the curriculum seriously and always keep the students attention. I would recommend to anyone who wants to work for the department.

This has been the best experience in my life, the trainers care about you! They made us feel like 1 big family, it's not just a check to them. I would tell anyone if they asked where to get good training, HERE! Thanks CTA I will miss you all so much

Personally, I love and miss this experience! Rankin & Sharpe are the BEST instructors ever. I say this bc they will make you laugh and educate you at the same time. They're very skilled with tactics to mold you into a confident, educated Correctional officer. I encourage everyone thinking about becoming a Correctional officer to do so. CTA offers more than just classes to prepare you to be a CO, they also provide you with a bed, shower, work out gym and a basketball court. You can also leave the premises after class for food or whatever.

CURRENTY TAKING CLASSES THERE C/0 STOVER AND JONES ARE THE BEST INSTRUCTORS THERE IS. VERY INFORMATION GIVEN OUT OTHER THEN THE FIRST DAY, ITS GREAT TO LEARN FROM THESE TWO MEN THEY FEED YOU BREAKFAST AND LUNCH BUT A BOXED LUNCH FOR DINNER THE FIRST DAY IS VERY BORINGYOU JUST SIT IN THE GYM AND LISTEN TO BORING PEOPLE TALK FOR 8 HRS BUT AFTER THAT ITS GREAT. YOU STAY IN A DORM MONDAY-FRIDAY BUT HAVE TO EITHER GO HOME OR GET A MOTEL ROOM UNTILL SUNDAY AT 5PM THEN YOU GO BACK AND GET A ROOM.
