Ordered the DirectFit Phone Bracket along with the Black Auto Closing Charging Phone Cradle for our 2017 GMC Acadia Denali. The fit is superb and the functionality is great!!! Installation was a breeze, a quick 5 minutes including my attention to detail, securing & routing the included USB charging cable. I had a couple of pre-order questions and Jason answered them promptly! Speaking of promptly, my order shipped for free “promptly” and was received from VT to AZ in just a few days!!! GREAT Customer Service, a GREAT Product… will buy again without hesitation!!! Hopefully soon, if they develop a DirectFit mount for our C6 Corvette?! 😊 This is a 10 Star Review!!! Highly recommend!!!😎👊🏻👍👍

Update 06/2025: 2024 Subaru Forester- Still rocking with same mount!!! Still LOVE it.

~06/2024: Update after 6 months 2024 Subaru Forester: this is still the best phone mount I have ever had!! Highly, highly recommend. Zero issues with Eyesight. No issues driving miles down bumpy dirt roads, phone stays put. By pointing the passenger air vent at phone, I had no issues with phone overheating on long car ride through Oklahoma like I did last summer with another mount/car. No glare off of ball extender. Absolutely no issues. 100% PERFECT mount for my needs!!!

~12/2023: Have a 2024 Subaru Forester Touring and needed a better solution for my S22 Ultra phone while in my car. Cup holders too far back (plus I use them for cups), under console too small, and on top of console phone slid around at times or blocked the info screen. Finding something compatible with the limitations brought by Eyesight cameras was really stumping me. Searched for a long time before running across Course Motorsports options. So glad I waited until I found the PERFECT fit for my needs. If I could rate higher I would!

I purchased the wireless charging cradle mount but the non-charging cradle mount would have been sufficient given that I use my phone connected via USB for Android Auto. Phone is very stable in mount even with my case on (thin but does have a metal kickstand on back). Included pictures show my husband's phone with a much thicker case. I purchased the 0.75 in ball extender with my mount kit as a means of hopefully getting the phone beyond the no-Eyesight-obstruction area designated by Subarau and I do believe this set up works for that. No issues thus far. I might cover the metal with electrical tape or something else if I find that sunlight causes a glare from this, but leaving as is for now. AC vent not blocked with this set up and in summer months could even be easily turned to cool phone if needed.

I was not personally able to get the AC vent off basically because I was too scared to give the umph needed to pop it out with the Course Motorsports trim tool, but stopped by my local autobody shop (that I have used after run-in with deer), showed them the installation video and they were gracious enough to do it for me for free. Took them less than 5 minutes.

My mount is installed on right of console. Phone does not obstruct screen beyond covering the mute button in the native navigation system (shown in pics). I am using 1.5 ft cable to connect to USB port which is perfect. There is a very slight gap, compared to pre-installation where mount fits, but not really noticeable or a concern for me. Really looks OEM and with no screws or adhesive, will be easily removable if need arises. There is a piece of foam that sits against the screen which is nice.

Customer service was quick to respond to my emailed question and delivery was speedy. I am so happy with this mount!!! Will definitely shop here again for all my future vehicles!!

THANK YOU Course Motorsports for a well made and thoughtfully designed product!!!!

Have had the original magnetic mount for my 2021 Colorado Z71 with a slight modification so I could mount it in a different location then suggested. Love the mount, 2 different phones and no complaints. Magnets were strong and never had a phone fall off. Mount stayed tight and never had to reposition it. Added wireless magnetic mount and really like that it supports fast charging and magnets seem twice as strong as original mount. Only complaint that maybe Course has a solution for is, I have the mount as tight as it will go and I constantly have to reposition it after a few uses with same phone. Not sure if it is ball mount or due to strength of magnet compared to original. Is a bit frustrating. I would purchase again even with minor issue for me personally. Highly recommended.

I purchased a Ram 2500 Direct Fit mount a year ago and wanted to fully test the unit over time to see how it would handle heat/cold and wear/tear. So here are some Pros and Cons....
1. Aluminum Ball and Plastic Lock - 5 stars - I was worried the plastic housing would flex and not hold tight against the aluminum ball from the temperature changes however it has continued its grip from day 1.
2. Flush Mount Bracket - 4.9 stars - After installing the flush mount, the rubber pad was not quite as flush as expected, and the installation video pulls away right at the moment where you can see the gap left from the rubber pad. I like it to be flusher so I trimmed the one side of the rubber pad as you can see in the attached photos and to me that was no big deal.
3. Cradle Charging - 5 stars - The charging of the cradle mount continues to charge without issues. Some larger, thicker cases might have issues without applying a 'helper' sticker but so far, I have not had any issues. I personally ran the USB charge cable thru the vent and behind the center console to come up from the bottom of the console to a cigarette lighter power source. I did this to give it a more sleek, clean install look.
4. Cradle Mount - 2 stars - I opted for the cradle mount, and I wish it would come in 2 sizes, large and small. The size of cell phones is constantly becoming larger, and the cradle mount barely opens wide enough to hold my S23 with a decent case around it. If I would have a more rugged protective case like a Pelican or Otter Box full enclosed case, it would not fit. The pad itself is only 2.25 inches wide. Attached a pic to show the way it looks. The location of the phone just covers the corner of the display screen which is not bad considering the options available in the Ram truck. I originally would give this a higher star rating but over time it has started failing more. Those fails include:
a. The mount arms barely open large enough to hold phone.
b. The bottom bracket the phone sits on needs to be longer or adjustable in size since it only supports about half of the phone when in a case.
c. The plastic adjustable arms would 'click' when closing, kind of like a gear tooth when new, but now don't move when the phone is placed in the cradle. I assume the gears are plastic and maybe have lost a tooth or 2 over time. I have to squeeze the arms together now to grip phone. Maybe use metal in future builds?
d. The mount used to auto close when the phone was placed in the cradle and still occasionally does, however if you didn't push the button to release the arms before you turned off your car, it would not release. I would like future version of cradles to release when power is removed. this would prolong the life of the arms/gears/etc. inside the mount.
e. The cradle mount no longer gives that grip to hold the phone properly and the vibration of the highway/streets cause the phone to fall out of the mount, hitting the middle console and usually ending up in the floorboard by my feet.

Although I still like the overall location and design of the Direct fit Phone Mount, I will probably be making my own slight modifications of the cradle Mount so it will continue to hold and charge my phone for the various trips down the road in the future.

*** Update *****
After calling and talking to Jason (great guy and appreciative of feedback), I learned of the changes and after receiving the new version, here are my updated comments..
#4 above - The cradle still needs to have a large and small option.
- 4c - The newer version now uses a worm gear which has a smoother operation.
- 4d - The new version also gives you a few seconds to press the release button when power is removed from the device (an audible beeping is emitted during this time)
- 4e - The new version appears to sit higher as the ball mount location is more in the center of the cradle which appears to have a little more bounce than the previous higher mount resulting in the cradle sitting lower, making the weight distribution less centered.

Added a few more comparison pictures.

It doesnt fit correctly! I purchased a phone holder for my bronco and the milling tolerances are off. It simply won’t sit flush in its intended depression on the bronco console. There were plenty of good reviews, and certainly parts of the phone holder look to be well engineered, but it simply doesn’t fit correctly. If you’re not paying attention, you can get it to screw in, but one edge will be sitting on the lip, not completely in the depression. To make it fit, I had to file down the edge of the mounting bracket and make a plastic shim for it to sit on. I contacted them, and the communication is intermittent (because apparently they are a small shop) and they say they’ve sold hundreds of these. In their defense, I assume I could just simply return this but it’s not worth the hassle, and I would have to pay return shipping. So very annoying. I wouldn’t buy from them again. Ps, they include a small Allen wrench in the kit, but it doesn’t fit any of the screws provided. Something is wrong with the quality control.

Update September 1, 2025 so I came across a 3d printed version of the same thing for 25 bucks so I figured what the heck. It fits perfectly. As I was installing it, I switched back-and-forth with the 3-D version against the course motorsports one just to check the fit and the course motorsports one is just not measured correctly. It simply does not fit flush.

I recently purchased the DIRECT FIT PHONE MOUNT for my 2023 Ford Bronco from Course Motorsports, and I love it! I chose the mount that attaches to the passenger grab handle, and it's perfect. It positions my phone exactly where I want it without obstructing the cup holders or the storage tray under the radio. Plus, it came with a MagSafe charger and is conveniently located for a short USB cable connection. Installation was super easy and straightforward. The mount works phenomenally well and looks amazing! Thank you, Course Motorsports!

Best phone mount on the market. Got a cheap resistor off Amazon and wired everything in the dash so the only visible wire pokes out right behind the mount and goes directly to the charger. Came out really clean. I'd strongly recommend this mount this phone mount / wireless charger. It's expensive, but it's far and away the best.

I've used plenty of car mounts over the years and anytime someone makes one that is hard mounted to the dash well be far superior to a suction cup or a vent mount. This course motorsports mount is no exception, with it being bolted right to the dash there is no worry of it falling off. Installation was super easy in my Grand Cherokee. While I am not using the magnetic mount that came with the bracket, I am using my own wireless charger and it attached to the bracket easily and hold steady when driving.
