Critical Point was one of the best things I've ever decided to do for myself. As a user of both their test prep and College essay help I received great results from 2 of their tutors - Jessee and Andre. Jessee helped me with Test Prep and helped improve my score 250 points. Also, he made each session feel fun as well as engaging and enriching in the content. Throughout my time with Jessee I felt that we had created a meaningful relationship as he ensured that each session was welcoming and that I was improving. Additionally, my experience with Critical Point's College Essay tutoring was very positive as well. Andre really made sure he was personalizing each session and made an effort to understand me as a person which allowed him to help me construct my college essay. At first, I had no idea what to write or even how to start but by the end of my sessions with Andre I had a completed essay that I was confident I could send to the schools I wanted to apply to.

Taking Critical Point’s SAT tutoring class was one of the best decisions! Andre helped me so much in improving my score, (up 220 points!!!), and with useful tools to attack not just the SAT, but also standardized tests in general for my future. All of the books, resources, and other concepts he provided me set me up for success. Not only did he teach me new ideas and techniques for the test, but he also reminded me of past lessons in math and English that I was forgetful on. He always encouraged me to work my hardest and keep a positive attitude, while still looking out for my well-being and making sure I’m always in a good mood to study and perform to the best of my abilities. Originally going into critical point I had an 1100. After devoting time to critical point for a summer, I achieved a 1350, 250 points more than what I got before. It really was a very calm and relaxed environment with amazing people there to teach you all the tricks and skills you need to know for the SAT. The guys working there are really easy to talk to and very good at getting you to understand the material. Overall, I would highly recommend critical point to anyone who needs help with the SAT. They are extraordinary!

Critical Point was the best tool I used during my college application process. I decided to get help with my Personal Essay after hearing about it from a friend who got accepted into his dream school. He encouraged me to go because he said not only do you get outstanding help but you have a ton of fun doing it. My tutor and I covered a lot of ground in a short period of time while having fun working and getting to know each other. They helped me work through holes in my essay and picked my brain when choosing a topic I wanted to write about. If you are stressed about the college application process, I highly recommend Critical Point. I was in the same boat my senior year of high school and they helped me improve my test scores, write a great personal essay as well as all my supplemental essays, and provided guidance in any other concerns I had. In Fall 2023 I signed up for SAT Tutoring through critical point and had an awesome instructor that helped me understand difficult concepts so I could improve. By December of that same year, my SAT score had gone from a 1370 to a 1500, increasing by 130 points! I’m super thankful for all the guidance they provided! I also had help navigating my college applications and it made the process so much easier. I was able to apply to 12 schools with competitive applications and got into dream school, Carnegie Mellon University!
