Working for CCE was a nightmare. The school district I was placed at broke many laws pertaining to special education and protecting our children. I brought it to the attention to the Administration at the school, then the district, then the director of the program. Once I was being mistreated by the school principal, I brought CCE into the conversation and they did NOTHING to help. The school made up false accusations about me once I’d put my complaints in writing. I asked for protection from CCE and was not given any help whatsoever. In the end, I was let go and told I would not receive pay due to me. I was also told that the complaint I needed to file was with the school district itself. Shame on CCE. They put teachers in situations that are incredibly challenging and stressful. The district can’t hire and keep employees for a reason. CCE should have protected me. In the end, I fought for my pay and got it (no thanks to my recruiter, Timeeka). Beware of this company and do your research on the schools they place you at. Also, read your contract word for word. Not only did they put me in the above mentioned situation, they also got em settled into one school (my preferred placement at the high school) and uprooted me over a 24 hour period to go to a TK-3 charter campus that turned out to be the nightmare. The school schools be shut down by the state. It truly should be.

I worked with this company I want to say roughly for 3 years it was an amazing experience. If I ever had any questions they were always one text away. I love the fact that I was able to travel to various districts then finally decided to stick with one and they were more than happy to help me make that happen! You definitely get to learn so much moving around from place to place.

DirectEd has always been there for me when I’ve needed them, offering me decent substitute teaching assignments at good schools. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. The entire operation is efficient. There have been times when I’ve received coaching calls, and they have never been in the tone of reprimand; rather, in the form of helpful encouragement and ideas. I’ve been with DirectEd on and off part time for three years now, and I am grateful to have them as an employer. Substitute teaching is usually the kind of career one uses as a steppingstone. However, that does not devalue the profession. It is a very valuable steppingstone for me, and I appreciate DirectEd.

DirectEd is an amazing company to work for! This is my first year as a substitute teacher and DirectEd has been so supportive. I truly love my job! It’s super flexible and jobs are available every day. I haven’t once struggled to find work. They are super easy to get in touch with for whatever and whenever and they’re always kind and extremely helpful. I’ll be with them for a long time 😊

DirectEd is the most amazing company I’ve worked for so far! At my last ABA agency, I was driving 50 miles round trip to my clients. It would take me over an hour going to work and coming back home. DirectEd has made sure to only give me clients nearby and I am so grateful for that. The pay is well above the norm for behavior interventionist at other agencies and the support staff at DirectEd is so helpful. I’ve only been at the company for a few months, but I plan on staying for a very long time.

Five stars isn’t enough when rating an exemplary company such as DirectEd. I have worked with them for 3 out of the last 5 years, with the other 2 in a certificated position that wouldn’t have happened had it not been for the subbing opportunities that were provided to me by DirectEd. The staff has always been there for me, whether it was answering a simple question about a time sheet, or about a long term assignment that I needed to terminate (which I recommend only in the rarest of instances). DirectEd’s staff is made up of the most accommodating, professional, and caring individuals I have worked with in any agency—bar none! If you’re looking into working as a substitute teacher, I highly recommend DirectEd. They’re simply the best!

I love working with Direct Ed. I enjoy having opportunities to work at different schools with different learning philosophies and environments. Direct Ed is very compassionate and understanding of my needs as an employee, responds to any questions comments or concerns in a timely manor, is professional and overall a good agency to work for. I would recommend to a friend or anyone looking to work in the education field.

Able to assist a wide variety of charter schools, students and gain experience. You are also able to pick assignments, making it more flexible. All the employees I have met are very nice, supportive, and are very open to any questions or concerns you might have. They are also very professional, knowledgeable, and hold their employees to an certain standard which I like.
