I have been learning Spanish with Luis since February this year, and I can honestly say that the experience has been fun and rewarding! Luis is an excellent teacher, with an obvious passion for his profession, who makes learning interesting and divertidísimo! I hadn't participated much in zoom meetings before, except for boring HOA meetings, so I wasn't sure what it would be like to take classes by Zoom. Luis has a great personality and is very animated, which makes it easier to understand unfamiliar Spanish words, and to just generally enjoy your class! I really recommend highly Luis and Cruz Language Academy.

After starting my Spanish journey with an App, I knew I needed to interact with a teacher to improve my speaking skills as well as my grammar. Luis is genius in the way he softly corrects both. Luis is a dedicated instructor who uses a collaborative approach and brings humor and flexibility to his teaching style. He recognizes where I need help and pushes me when needed, but always in a manner that is supportive and encouraging. While he keeps me on track with the more formal aspects of the studies, he also takes the time to make the studies personal, for example, creating scenarios and conversations around topics of interest to me. The effect is a practical application that I find helpful to my style of learning. Luis is truly skilled at what he does. It is a pleasure to study with him, and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking to learn Spanish or to brush up on their skills.

I have been enjoying weekly lessons from Luis at Cruz Language Academy. Learning from a professional like Luis is much easier and faster than sitting alone with a book, listening to a tape or any other method. His teaching skills, detailed knowledge of grammar and bilingual ability are first-class making him one of the best teachers or professors I've ever had including those I had at Yale University. Several features uniquely qualify Luis making him my first choice. He has a clear voice and pronunciation, broad experience and a great sense of humor. My weekly conversational Spanish lesson is always a blast! If you want to learn Spanish quickly and correctly I highly recommend trying lessons from Luis.

I began studying Spanish with Luis Cruz in January. Everything about my experience with Luis has exceeded my expectations. He is a very gracious, intelligent, and interesting individual with an impressive knowledge of the Spanish language and modern language education techniques. I have made excellent progress in my understanding as well as my ability to speak Español in the three months that I have been studying with Luis. Equally important is the enjoyment I have had meeting with Luis each week, he is very positive, has a great sense of humor, and is a joy to be around; I recommend him wholeheartedly!

I've learned so much from my Spanish lessons with Luis. He's an absolute joy to work with. His intelligence and sense of humor shine through. Plus, his patience for listening to me stumble through my Spanish is much appreciated.

I'm so glad that I chose to have Luis give me private lessons. I'd been trying Duolingo and while that has some good points, it wasn't helping me at all with my speaking.

I still have a long way to go, but I can tell that I've improved a lot. Plus, I have a great time during our sessions--the time just flies by!
