Our family feels incredibly fortunate to have stumbled upon CT Northstars. From the moment our son joined, it became more than just a basketball program – it became a second home for him. If it were up to him, he'd spend every waking moment there. Unfortunately, we have to drive an hour to get there – a small sacrifice for the immense joy and growth he experiences at Northstars.

Floors are always slippery. I have seen many kids have non contact injuries here. Aside from the poor maintenance, Northstar management was extremely rude. Definitely my worst experience with an aau program.

Coach Katie DaCosta has been great for the development and confidence of my daughter. We have been playing for Coach Katie for the last 3 years and she creates a family atmosphere for her team. It goes beyond the development for basketball only and teaches these kids some very important lessons that will stick with them for life. 5 stars all the way for Northstars and Coach Katie.

My child has been with the Northstars since 3rd grade with Coach Katie DaCosta. Coach DaCosta has been amazing with my daughter! My daughter struggled with her confidence and Coach is always so understanding and she gets my kid. I truly don’t know how she does it all, between Coaching, working at the school, Mentoring and running the Sportsplex, scheduling leagues and tourneys. She always puts the kids first and this is why we will always stay with the Northstars!

Coach Katie and the CT Northstars program is amazing. Rather than "flash," she focuses on the fundamentals and long-term development of the kids. My son has been taking personal coaching from her for the last two years and we can see the progress.

Also, the facility is great - four courts, training space, a waiting room for spectators, pickle ball and so much more.

The DaCosta’s are well known and respected in the community. They do an amazing job building not only phenomenal basketball players, but well rounded young men and women. As a parent who at now has her third child under their mentorship, I can genuinely say that they are the best at what they do. There will always be criticism when you are at the top. Please do not let that overshadow their contributions to society……guys keep doing what you do!
