This school has been a good choice for my son. Since enrolling him here I have seen a different more dedicated hard working individual hitting the books hard. I am very proud of him and I am especially thankful to CUNY PREP and it's staff who have helped reshape my son's attitude towards his future and goals. I also want to say RIP Dr. Derrick Griffith and thank you for building a school for our at risk youth who needed a second chance to get back on the right path towards a bright future. Please don't hesitate in putting your kid in this school if he is struggling and is seriously behind on high school credits.

My son wasn't doing anything in high school. He was a junior with 7 credits and just didn't see the point in it because he was so far behind. He came to CUNY Prep and got his TASC within 3 months. He actually enjoyed school for the first time because he could see that he was working towards something. CUNY Prep gives students exactly what they need and help them prepare for the TASC and college. It's an awesome program. The staff is helpful and the teachers are fantastic. I am so happy we found this school.

Cuny Prep is a great choice for any out of school student who is tired of the traditional 4 year high school education, which quite frankly I think is a waste of time. The semester is short (less than a year) yet is packed with many lessons and information; which is great for students who just want to get through their high school education as quickly as possible and learn some stuff in the doing as well.
Unlike traditional high schools I didn't feel like I was being overworked or pumped with years worth of meaningless material. Their goal is to simply teach you the material necessary for passing the TASC test, obtaining your High School Equivalency Diploma, and getting you en route to college. The teachers are genuine and great and are there to help you. You can fly through the semester as long as you do your work, study, and pay attention. Also, try not to miss class as you will miss a good chunk of material which could potentially be a question on your TASC test.
