Loved my time at Darcy Aviation! The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, the school/hangar are cozy and clean, and the owner Brent is great. Brent and his team at Darcy are top notch. They were always available to talk and breakdown the process and progress for our son who trained there to get his private pilot license before he started college. As an Embry Riddle alumni Brent even helped our son to qualify for some scholarships which was super helpful. My father in law and I also worked with Darcy for a discovery flight which was an unforgettable experience. We’ve loved our experiences so much that we didn’t hesitate to buy a gift card for a discovery flight as a wedding gift. And we’ve recommended many friends who have all had more than favorable experiences. All of the instructors we met over our various experiences were extremely knowledgeable, encouraging and personable. If you’re looking for private pilot lessons or just a thrilling unique experience of a discovery flight, Darcy is the areas best choice.

If you are looking for the best flight training school in the NY/CT area look no further than Darcy Aviation. Brent and his team of experienced instructors are truly professional and knowledgeable. The first day I came to the school this past June 2024 I was warmly welcomed by everyone and they made me feel like I belonged there . Today August 14, 2024, I completed my first solo flight and I was cheered by everyone upon successfully completing my flight. Huge thank you to my flight instructor Matt Potashnikov. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and a magnificent human being. I enjoyed many hours of training as he pushed me to overcome my hurdles and frustrations throughout my training . I can’t wait to continue training with him and only hope to one day be as proficient as he as a pilot. It is an honor and pleasure to be part of the Darcy Aviation family.

Darcy Aviation is a class act. As a professional pilot for a major airline, it had been nearly 15 years since flying GA. I wanted to take my kid up flying and Darcy made that happen... in an epic way.

The flight school is beautiful. The flight line is organized. The staff are professional, patient, friendly and welcoming. It's a wonderful atmosphere.

The morning we showed up was cold. Nevertheless, Brent Darcy had pulled the plane up against the hangar right outside the flight school door. The cowl was wrapped and the block heater was plugged in. He and his staff went above and beyond to make an already enjoyable experience that much better.

My kid felt like a Rockstar and loved every minute of it. I would highly recommend Darcy Aviation to anyone seeking any type of aviation experience.

Had a wonderful experience today flying with Darcy Aviation! The owner took such amazing care of my son (just turned 18 Monday) for his discovery flight. Darcy’s experience and knowledge definitely comes through. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and I think my son is hooked although he was trying to play it cool! Had an amazing experience at Darcy Aviation LLC! My CFI, Archana, is fantastic she really takes the time to ensure I understand everything, even if it takes a while. All the planes are in great condition, and they just got a new multi-engine plane, which is awesome! Highly recommend this school for anyone looking to learn to fly!
