Their systems must be ancient because it takes way too long to get anything done! I’ve been jumping through their hoops for nearly three months trying to get food stamp assistance for my family and I’m still being told it’s going to take 30 more days to finish processing my application and 10 days from that day to get my card. The whole point of applying for food stamps is not being able to afford food, I’ve been struggling to feed my kids for way too long. A worker even tried to suggest me not paying rent on time so i can afford food. I’ve had benefits in 3 other states and it’s never been so hard to get what i need. Food banks don’t answer the phone either.

Call and call fir the past hour nobody will pick..can't leave a voice-mail because they are not accepting at this current time or the mailbox full ..the lady I need to speak with still has the voice-mail stating she will be back in her office on April 14th ok that is a wwwk ago. Did she forget to come back.

This place is ridiculous. Nothing is up to date still running things like back in the days. And what's even more sad is that, they have people working in the office that does not care for the public. Instead of them following guidelines, they base things on if they know you or not. I have made a formal complaint with the state about Monroeville DHR food assistance program because it's not just me that I see they have done this way, it's everyone. You call to speak to your case worker, no one returns your call. You go in person they play stupid and act like you not in the system. Nothing but some ignorant inconsiderate people working in that office. Monroeville do better.
But I don't see that happening after all these years. It's sad that this is even my hometown.
And for whoever reads this, get out of Monroeville and just see what you are missing. You can get the help you need from anywhere else but Monroeville. If they don't know you, like you etc you want be getting any assistance because this how they base their applications. Why you think they still stuck on paper Nothing online
Because it can't be traced. They take your information and trash it. They don't care. Move out of that town and just see what I'm talking about.
