A Life-Changing Non-Profit: Desert Best Friend’s Closet
Desert Best Friend’s Closet is more than just a clothing donation organization—it’s a lifeline for individuals looking to step into new opportunities with confidence and dignity. Their dedicated team works tirelessly to sort donated items, ensuring that everything finds the right home, whether it's sold to support their mission or given directly to those in need.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of their work is the event they host for the wives at 29 Palms, where military spouses can select beautiful formalwear from donated gowns. It’s a touching gesture that acknowledges their sacrifices and gives them a well-deserved moment of glamour and celebration.
Beyond clothing, Desert Best Friend’s Closet provides a comprehensive support system for job seekers, offering professional attire, resume writing assistance, and interview coaching. Their mission is to empower individuals by removing barriers to employment, ensuring they not only look the part but feel prepared and confident in their job search.
Their impact on the community is immeasurable, and their commitment to helping people transition back into the workforce is truly inspiring. If you’re looking to support a nonprofit that makes a real difference, Desert Best Friend’s Closet is an organization worth championing.

I met with Matt McLeroy yesterday at Desert Best Friend's Closet. They do so much more than providing people with clothes for job interviews and proms and special occasions. They provide employment opportunities and experiences for all walks of life that deserve the chance to achieve their goals and live their best lives. This amazing non-profit can provide services that are inexpensive compared to temp staffing agencies as well. Highly recommend!

I *really* like Desert Best Friend's Closet. Their mission, to help those struggling to find employment by helping them with resumes, interviews, and appropriate outfits, is just incredible. And the fact that they also donate prom dresses to high school students who can't afford them-- there's a special place in heaven for the founder, staff, and volunteers with DBFC. There just has to be. For years, we donated to Angel View, and we still do sometimes. But we donate all of our adult clothes to DBFC now because I know that either the pieces themselves will go to those who need it OR they will be purchased by people with good hearts who want to support this wonderful organization. If you haven't checked out their boutique-- you need to. The fact that you can get some amazing finds for just $5/piece is just mindblowing. Support this shop and its mission.

Great organization and everything was priced at $5. I will say that the clothes tend to lean toward the more mature demographic. Would be nice to see more variety but I assume that's a reflection of who is donating. Still 5/5

I called to schedule an appointment. The manager was very abrasive and kept sighing and huffing over the phone.

When I asked if a time was too late, he responded, "Can't you do anything earlier?" He just treated me badly for not knowing how long an appointment would be or what their hours are. It was outrageous for me to ask those questions. They're interested in an elite customer that I'm not.
