Was better under OPA. Now they will hardly or not even help you period. Thanks former Governor Malloy for cutting that funding and changing them to a non-profit.They had lots more resources and good people. Much more help when they were an independent agency. Every state is supposed to have some kind of P&A for persons with mental illness. They do the bare minimum. Now Connecticut does, just like other states. Like Arizona that has litterly nothing for P&A. I would know. Fereral law people! You have rights!! Their should be P&A in every state.

Thank you to Disability Rights of CT for filing a lawsuit due to the horrendous handling of COVID-19 home test kits and masks. It’s so nice to know that someone is looking out for us. I can tell you first hand that the municipality of Stamford under new Mayor Simmons has HORRIBLY handled this. As a high risk vulnerable citizen I didn’t know of this distribution which happened on a Sunday on a holiday weekend of New Years. The Administration claimed my demographic got priority and this was a complete lie! I was exposed to a person who tested positive and is also vulnerable like me despite great difficulty this person was tested and is infected and now I’m extremely sick. I’m hoping that I recover from this. I am extremely angry at how able bodied drivers were able to drive away with tests and now they’re out of them. This is not only illegal but immoral. It’s plainly obvious that local elected officials do not care if people like me become infected or perish from this disease. Thank goodness for your agency we need you🙏🏻

Este lugar años atras me ayudaron a hacer cumplir el titulo VI de Derechos Civiles y la Ley IDEA para que mi hijo tuviera evaluaciones apropiadas bilingües. Es de las pocas agencias del gobierno que si aceptan tu caso realmente trabajan. Ellos deberian levantar una queja o investigación contra CHRO porque ellos no brindan interpretación, no traducen los documentos y no hacen investigación de los casos. Realmente guardo gratitud con esta agencia por su trabajo con el asunto de traducción e interpretación los push in y accedieron. Por otra parte lo negativo fue que como ellos no pueden luchar por outplacement, la que era o es la Directora me dijo que pusiera a mi hijo en la hubicacion más restrictiva quede asi 😳😳😳luego me dijo eso es lo mismo a un outplacement.

Pero si aseguro hacen un mejor trabajo que CHRO que solo brinda información que ellos mismos incumplen.
