Wow...Just wow. My daughter and I are big library and book lovers. During our summer in Mountain Home AR we were super excited to spend time at your library. Bar None after many many libraries visited in severall states and regions ths library was the best of the best. We have never seen A café inside a library....so cool. And puzzle tables, the teen area, the huge selection of books and resources.....and the staff were so warm and wonderful! It was our second home during our stay in AR! And I didn't even mention the beauty of the interior and exterior architecture and furnishings - both so pretty, functional AND comfortable!

We hope to come back to visit Mtn Home in a year or two and can't wait to hang out at the library again.

If only California libraries were half that good we'd be in literary heaven!

I am amazed at how awesome this country library is. They had built this place to be classy, elegant and to last for 100 yrs. Beautiful artwork adorn the walls. The library is surrounded by ou ak trees. A bike rack that spells the word 'BOOKS' is in front of the cafe. There is a bee garden out by the book return. Sliding glass doors welcome you to a decorative tile floor and wood walls with lighted chandeliers over head. Restroom is immediately to your left. On the right is a display case where they often have silent auctions to raise library funds. I enjoyed the mini quilter's Museum at the entrance. The top main floor is the adult / reference section. There is a cafe , a fire place and a piano for live performances. There is an outside balcony with table and chairs. There are study rooms, beautifully built with windowed doors and rich red wood. They have a genealogy room and a special cabinet housing volumns of ancient books.

The childrens library is down stairs accessible by both stair and elevator. The elevator has a windowed back and my child was delighted with his elevator journey down. The childrens section has 2 brass children reading on a bench with a grand oak tree commanding the center of the room. The children's area is enchanting. They also have an outside pattio with an umbrella, table and chairs for enjoying a good book and the weather of this area. They have a kitchen, multipurpose room, twe en center and a teen center which has their own separate pattio. A fantastic manga collection and weekly teen activities. There are lots of board games too. I love the 'Guess the candy in the jar' game.

Out of town visitors are welcomed. A yearly card fee is $30 for out of towners.

The school drops students off here after school about 3:30pm.

Guest lecturers give their presentations in front of the fireplace upstairs.

The restrooms are very modern with natural brown stone tile, motion activated sinks and towel dispensers. Loved it.

The staff is friendly and helpful. I will come here often.

This library has very bad customer service at the front desk. This is the second time they have charged me for books that they said were overdue. When I told them that I returned them and they are down in the children’s section on the shelf they didn’t believe me and got annoyed. They were even more annoyed and unapologetic when they went downstairs and saw the books for themselves. The children’s staff are very nice. Avoid the front desk and make sure they are not charging you for overdue books that you already returned.

Beautiful library, beautiful atmosphere inside and out. Clean & newly paved parking lot, clean facility, clean bathrooms. BOOKWORMS CAFE being present & their great staff is AMAZING & CONVENIENT feature! Always computers available, helpful library staff, printers available, and great study rooms available as well! I've been a big fan of all of the above since 2014 and counting 🙂

The library is very nice and organized. The staff are kind and they help if you have a question. They added a display a month ago and it was a nice detail for a library. This is a great place if you need to study and have a quite place to relax.

An amazing building that we all should be proud of. It houses volumes of wisdom, adventures, travel as well as subjects from A to Z... Fantastic children's section, computer access, research areas, changing exhibits and a very knowledgeable, friendly & helpful staff that can help you find what you need or want.
Something of interest is always being offered and many different types of classes from yoga to aerobics can be found here.
Definitely a grand place to take the kids or a nice get away for you to enjoy a good read in a very peaceful and relaxing place.
I'm very proud of our library and challenge everyone to try it out. Once you do you will come again.
