In my opinion, the principal, Mr. Biggs is an outstanding, caring man in charge. He is considerate & sensitive to students yet firm. He listens, is thoughtful and acts as an awesome advocate for his students with their local districts. It is very obvious to me that he comes with a lot of experience in special needs education. In our experience with EastConn, he has been a blessing. The four stars is in no way to slight my rating of Mr. Biggs. If I could I would give him 10 stars.

They have few teachers but alot of "staff" meaning only a little money is put into actual education while there are many adult employees making minimum wage given little incentive to actually do what they are paid to do. They overuse restraints and apply them in a manner that leaves bruises. There are rumors of 2026 shutdown and that is a good thing.

No communication with staff or counselors. Once they take a child in, they never let them back into mainstream schooling. Staff is very aggressive towards students! I wouldn't send my dog here. When you treat children like animals, you will get animal like behaviors in response. The place is nothing short of a detention center for youth. Who's funding this child abuse center?

This school is absolutely horrible, do NOT have your kid at this school, the school is terrible and so are most of the staff, they destroy as well as take away all socialization from your kids DO NOT LET YOUR KID GO HERE
