It is a small but cozy library! There is plenty of parking north of the library which is shaded. A lot people come here for book pick up and use other services. Unfortunately today, I witnessed something sad. One of the librarians made a comment after very patron left, often times they were critical and unkind. It only left me wondering what she would say after my children and I left. We were there a while and had some fun with their crafts and puppets but of course made plenty of noise which probably had her commenting after.

God knows the reason I love Pima County public libraries. From childhood to adulthood, these county libraries' have been instrumental as a resource in inspiring my interest, perspective, and love for knowledge, creativity, lessons, wisdom, history, culture, facts, and empowerment. The exceptional staff and volunteers keep a peaceful atmosphere by providing quality service and support to all who enter and seek to find books, newspapers, articles, magazines, historical records, CDs, Audiobooks, DVDs, local resources, classes, workshops, and access to digital sources for educational and entertainment purposes. Thank God for all who choose to serve their community by working and serving in the libraries.

The process to pick up a book and check out is amazingly simple. The crew is friendly and welcoming. You can get good old fashioned hard back books. They have lots of the best authors and latest titles. An excellent variety of formats too - audiobooks, e-books, large print, etc. Check it out!

This library is a wonderful asset to the community! The friendly staff offer a valuable service for residents of the Barrio Hollywood and Menlo Park neighborhoods in Tucson.

Yes, El Rio Library is small. However, if you live or work in the area (as I do), it is very easy to order any book/DVD or other material from the Pima County Public Library catalog website and they will deliver it to THIS location for convenient pickup!! If you've never used the catalog this way, I'm sure one of the librarians would be happy to show you how.

They often have free COVID tests, free snacks during the summer, and free periodicals once they are out of date. Plus, a small computer lab which has been helpful to me in the past when I was looking for a job and lacked Internet access. And they always have the latest issues of MAD magazine!

I love this library. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. When we brought adult students from ESL class to library, the staff were extremely patient and helpful showing them how to check out books. Small size makes it feel more like home. It’s a great neighborhood.

Very clean and quiet location. The only downside is the size. It is extremely small in size but it makes a big impact nonetheless to anyone who walks in to this location. I have gotten a lot of work done here with zero distraction and appreciate that above all else.
