Cory & Dory run an excellent facility with amazing members/clients. This group of people (members and staff) bring you in as one of them the first day you step foot on the mat. Joking around with you, poking fun, just like being part of a family.

This place is WELL worth the price of admission. You can choose to get unlimited classes for one of the lowest prices you will find in California. That means you get Kickboxing, Karate, BJJ, and Wrestling for one cost and can go to as many classes per month.

Try every class you never know what you might like!

Whether you're looking to train for a serious fight or just get in great shape, this gym is the ONLY spot in the Tahoe area you need to join. The environment is friendly, chill, while also being as intense as you make it while training.

I saw another review on here bashing this place. Sounds like some guy who is trying to open his own gym or something. Sleazy tactic.

Cory and Dori are great and very fair when it comes to memberships. They do a great job managing their classes. MMA training is not only about 100% attention from your trainer. It also has a lot to do with WHO you are training with. The Training grounds draws great athletes of all levels. This means you can train with amateur fighters who are training for fights, or you can train with beginners.

It's a great atmosphere built around family. If you are looking for a "professionally" run gym than you can join a 24hr fitness club. Escobar is about family, friends, and getting in kick-butt shape. The focus is on the important things.

There's no better time to start than now. Get dedicated and get your butt to Escobar!

Great place to drop in when you’re in town. I’m a long time martial artist and my son is a high school wrestler and does some kickboxing. We both had great work outs and picked up good stuff to take home with us. Everyone was super friendly and knows their stuff!
