This facility has been one of dreams. They were fantastic with our first. The staff was eager to learn and assist us when she was advancing quickly with sign language, potty training, and general transitions. They have been even more remarkable with our second, especially as he has some special needs. Sheryl has developed a wonderful community in this care facility and it shows each and every day during both drop off and pick up. From the infant room to the pre-school (3s), everyone we have interacted with is knowledge and compassionate about all the children. Truly cannot speak more highly of them.

This place has been a dream for me! I have been a part of the Explorers family since 2020. The director helped and was so supportive during a very hasty need to change childcare due to issues with our current one. After my second daughter was born I suffered from Postpartum anxiety and depression which resulted in me taking my daughter out for a break. The director was so understanding and promised me a slot for both of my daughters when I was ready. If you know how hard it is to get on a good childcare facility list then you will understand how unbelievable this was and I felt so happy to be a part of this community. When I ended up sending my daughter back she went into the 3’s. The two teachers (who I ADORE) were so kind, patient, and taught my daughter SO much for a 3’s program. What touched me more was how kind and patient they were to me. I have a very hard time trusting people with my children, as all parents do- but my PPD and PPA made it heightened. Those two teachers helped me through such a vulnerable time in my life and I will be forever grateful for them and this center. My second daughter is now in the 3’s and is thriving and LOVES school. We are lucky to be a part of this wonderful place!

I have debated on writing a review for sometime now. I didn’t because what’s the point, nothing will get done perhaps I should have but here we are now. I am only doing this because my son who is now 4 and last attended explorers at age 3 for ONLY 4 days mind you has not forgotten what happened to him during his short time here. We drive by the school twice a week & without hesitation my son said, “Mommy, I don’t like that school they were mean to me and I cried.” Again, my son hasn’t stepped foot here in over a year!!! My son suffered from anxiety, had some delays but where he is now he is THRIVING and why is that? Perhaps because they have patience and are caring and true teachers. I was nervous from day one of sending him to explorers after orientation because I saw it was set up as an open floor plan and for my super active child I knew this would be an issue. I voiced my concerns to the “head teacher” during orientation mind you was very nice but boy was I fooled. Day one my son starts, reluctant, normal tears of course as any child. Day ONE they called to complain. “Oh he doesn’t hold the rope he just runs away when we have to go outside or outside of our classroom” Yes, I understand safety concerns, but I vocalized this during orientation as I also wrote this in the forms that needed to be submitted prior to day one. He is a very active child and couldn’t control it. Moral of the story if your child isn’t robotic and can’t stay still or may be a little different from the ordinary child DO NOT SEND THEM but if you have your average type A child go for it. Lastly, if I knew and witnessed the director raising her voice to my child when he was trying to sit on a cot but she made it very clear that, “YOU ARE NOT STAYING YOU ARE GOING HOME” my mother in law caught you and when you turned around and saw her you changed your tone. Smart. Also, when a child says “bye teacher” ACKNOWlEDGE them!! My son for those 3 nights because I pulled him on day 4 would go to bed heavy breathing due to anxiety because he knew in the morning where he was going. He couldn’t vocalize to me what was happening at the time. Just kept saying, “ I don’t want to go to school.” Makes me sick to my stomach. To those who have had success here and continue to that’s wonderful and I’m glad it worked out for your child. I just wanted to express what happened to mine in the event that a parent has a child similar to mine. Active and different is okay and shame on you for making my son feel any less nor having the patience for him and making a mother feel like she wasn’t raising her son correctly.

Absolutely amazing, this was our first time putting any of our 4 children into a preschool/daycare program at 2 1/2 years old. The director and the staff have been absolutely incredible, took our little one in like a part of their family and we have gained an awesome community to be a part of! The weekly themes the kids participate in with adorable themed activities, extremely clean enviroment & a truly JOYFUL place for kids to be a part of! We couldn't be happier with our choice to be a part of Explorers!

This place is great! I love it. Our son is having so much fun. He talks about what he does on a daily basis. He learns new things so fast now. We were in the public school system for his preschool but switching him over was the BEST decision we ever made. Happy people work there and it directly affects everything in a positive way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!
Original jan or march 2019

Edit jan 2025: i cant believe I didnt write the best part. The owner, Sheryl Konnik, is just an angel. During the Lockdowns, when every student was denied a public education, SHE KEPT EXPLORERS OPEN!!! She has summer camp in 2020!!! Even more, she opened up a kindergarten so him and his friends CONTINUED in person for 2020-2021! She helped our family and many others so tremendously by letting our kids learn!!!! Also, the program was great. I love Explorers learning and the owner Sheryl will always hold a special place in my heart.

I walked in and saw the owner very frustrated with my 3 yr old grandson. He was there only 4 days and in that time he had difficulty sleeping and had nightmares when he did sleep. He had severe anxiety about going there everyday. I will never know what happened to him while he was there for those 4 days but I will never forget it. I felt it my duty to write this review after thinking it over for a few months.
