I have never ever had such a negative experience with Farmington Public schools. My oldest have attended schools throughout Farmington since kindergarten. It is very much different now that my youngest is old enough to attend last year my youngest attended Noah Wallace and this year union elementary and although I had a good feeling this fall and was positive I must say I HATE them both the culture is changing through the elementary schools when my oldest attended West District I felt supported. Although my kids are bused from Hartford I felt when my oldest attended he was apart of the community the experience has changed for me with my youngest.

Feeling sad to only give one star to the Farmington, CT Board of Education. I do not believe they are operating in the best interest of Farmington children, as the mask mandate has not been removed. The children should no longer have to don masks, as the health emergency is clearly over. Unmask Our Children so they can attend school in September without dirty masks on their faces.

After leaving the school district after 3.5 years I realized my daughter was lacking a ton of basic fundamentals like spelling, quickly doing addition and subtraction and many more. I think the schools focus too much on extra curricular things. I would've traded viola lessons for spelling lessons. It's a shame people flock to that town thinking the schools are so great and their kids know nothing. The kids themselves are also rotten and the schools do not didcipline appropriately.

This school district has a very obvious bias against male students and treats them much worse than female students in terms of discipline and schoolwork, pretty clear gender discrimination. I am going to be documenting this from here on out, I suggest others do the same if you are experiencing the same thing and consider filing a Civil Rights complaint.
