Our initial impression of this daycare was great, but our experience quickly turned into a disaster. After e-signing the application and paying the first month’s deposit, we needed to set a later start date due to a family emergency. Despite giving them a full month’s notice, they refused to apply our deposit to the new start date and insisted it was non-refundable—even though nowhere in their online forms or website was stated that we cannot change the start date, if there is availability.

Beyond the financial issue, the daycare’s complete lack of professionalism and organization was deeply concerning. They misplaced our withdrawal request (which we had in writing) and still attempted to charge us for an additional month. The staff ignored our calls and emails, and when we did finally get a response, they were dismissive and rude.

Worst of all, the Director of Admissions, Debra Molloy, falsely claimed that our daughter had attended for the entire month—something that never happened as she didn't attend a single day. We had to argue with her over a basic fact, which raises serious concerns about their ability to keep track of the children in their care. Even more frustrating, we made multiple attempts to speak to Debra or anyone else in charge, but our calls were never returned. When we finally reached Debra, she stated that she is the head of admissions and there is no one else we can escalate our concerns to—then hung up on us mid-call.

Their lack of accountability, poor communication, and outright negligence make this daycare a huge red flag for any parent. If they can’t manage simple administrative tasks, how can they be trusted with the safety and well-being of children? I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We love Fountainhead and so happy we chose this school for our little girl. The teachers are amazing and always attentive not only to our girl's needs but also ours. Our daughter started in Pond and then moved to the preschool class (River Classroom). The transition was rocky at first because she loved all her Pond teachers and classmates. But the teachers in River really helped with the transition. My daughter loves her class and has met so many friends. The curriculum and social settings are unmatched and we've seen our girl grow immensely since she started. We also really appreciate the director at the PH location. She's very attentive, knows every student and parent, and always willing to assist in any way. Very happy with Fountainhead!

The most important aspect of choosing the right school for my daughter is the teachers. Teachers who are passionate about their job, love the children they teach, and bring the energy and empathy required needed to help toddlers develop the skills they need to navigate their constant development. The Fountainhead Montessori School in Pleasant Hill meets all of these requirements.

My daughter started in the Toddler / Prep program before transitioning to the Preschool program where she is currently. Changing classrooms, school mates, and teachers is a big change that the school was very thoughtful and supportive throughout. The teachers, old and new, are always available to connect with my daughter when she needs individual attention.

Within the Preschool Program, my daughter participates in the Spanish Immersion program. The program exposes my daughter to new languages and cultures in a fun and hands on way including special snack times, dancing, and singing.

The facilities are brand new with ample space for the kids to spread out and not feel cramped and an abundance of natural light.

I am extremely happy with the overall experience the Pleasant Hill Fountainhead Montessori school delivers.

We’ve been incredibly happy with Fountainhead in Pleasant Hill. The support our son has received, especially from Ms. Destinee, Ms Maricruz and Ms. Jessie, have been amazing. Starting school was a big adjustment for him, but thanks to the patience and personalized attention he’s received, he’s transitioned smoothly and now loves going to school. The one on one support made a huge difference in helping him feel comfortable during the transition phase. We’ve also noticed how much he’s learning and growing. We truly feel like we’ve found the perfect school where our child is thriving, and as parents, we couldn’t be more happy.

As an added plus, we’ve toured a few other schools and I’m very pleased at how clean and neat Fountainhead is.

My child has been attending Fountainhead Montessori in Pleasant Hill since the beginning of the school year. Right away, he was comfortable and he looks forward to going to school daily. This was not the case at his last school, so I think this says a lot about the environment and the teachers. The teachers are kind and attentive and have the kids under control. I have noticed progress in my child's ability to recognize letters and sounds.

The school is clean, organized and calm. The flexible the hours are a huge benefit. It's on the pricier side but it's worth it.

One suggestion would be for the school to use an app to facilitate communication with teachers. Currently. communication goes through the director via email/phone call. It is still effective, but app updates with pictures of their daily activities would be nice. 🙂

We have had a great experience with Fountainhead Montessori in Pleasant Hill. The teachers and director are responsive and helpful. My daughter loves going to school and seems to really enjoy the curriculum. Most of all the times they play music, sharing day and science class. The campus is very clean and secure. They also offer activities outside of school that allow us to meet other parents and put faces to the names of the other kids we hear about at home. It is a bit of wait to get in, but worth getting on the list.

We've only been at Fountainhead Montessori for two months, but we've already seen a remarkable difference in our 2.5 years old son. The school has been fantastic in fostering engagements, with park play dates that allowed us to meet other families. We've very impressed with the teachers and their ability to connect with the kids. Our little one comes home so happy, and we're learning new things from him every day! Highly recommended this wonderful community.

Fountainhead has been a great experience for our family. The teachers are fantastic with the Montessori method and very caring. The language immersion programs (Spanish and Mandarin), reading and writing development and science classes are excellent and have well-prepared our daughter for Kindergarten. The classrooms and playgrounds are also well-maintained and full of learning and play potential. We love Fountainhead!
