If your kid has a lot of energy and loves to jump off the couch or anything jumpable like mine, this is the place for your child. The staff is beyond amazing. The coaches are patient and supportive. They are very understanding and supportive not only to students but to parents as well! They organize plenty of activities throughout the month and offer perks with their memberships. I highly recommend FIM!

First of all, I would like to clarify that this review is specifically about the birthday party service at this gym and is not related to their regular gym activities.

Last week was my daughter’s 5th birthday. Since she is very active and loves gymnastics, I decided to choose a gym to celebrate her birthday. After checking online reviews, I found this gym to have high ratings, and the staff seemed friendly. They assured me that their coaches had extensive experience in hosting birthday parties, so I chose them in the end. Here is what happened on the day of the party:

Event Preparation: The party was scheduled to start at 1:30 PM. Since the venue did not have any decorations, I planned to arrive at 12:30 PM to set up. However, when I arrived, the door was locked, and no one was there. It wasn’t until 12:40 PM that two coaches showed up to unlock the door for me (I had previously confirmed with the front desk that I could start setting up anytime after 12:00 PM).

Staffing: The party started on time at 1:30 PM. We had 24 kids attending that day, but only one coach was organizing activities, while the other coach stayed at the front desk for parents' sign-in (I had confirmed beforehand that two coaches would be responsible for leading the kids).

Event Flow: We booked a 2-hour package, and they planned 75 minutes of activities, with the remaining 45 minutes for pinata, eating, and cake-cutting. After the 75-minute activity session, the coach led the kids to hit the pinata and then completely stepped back, leaving us to organize the kids and parents for food, cake, and photos. Since we had assumed they would handle everything (as was the case with other parties we had attended), we were unprepared, leading to chaos at the venue. We didn’t even have time to take a single family photo with our daughter.

Activity Content: I expected the coach to engage the kids in activities, but instead, the coach just demonstrated a few movements and let the kids play on their own. No guidance was given to the kids who arrived late, and they were left to play freely. Most importantly, there was no special activity arranged for my daughter to make her feel like the star of the day (despite multiple confirmations with the staff beforehand that there would be a special arrangement).

Temperature Issue: On the day of the party, the temperature inside the gym was 85°F (29.4°C). This was very uncomfortable for both the kids and the parents. I had confirmed with the staff before the party that the temperature would be around 75°F (23.8°C), but this was clearly not the case.

End of Event: Aside from vacuuming the floor, we were responsible for cleaning up the venue, restoring tables and chairs, etc.

Conclusion: This party was very disappointing. Although the two coaches were polite and willing to help when asked (e.g., finding a pinata string for me when I forgot to bring one), they were extremely unprofessional in hosting the party. As a result, we couldn’t even take a family photo with our daughter.

If you're going there for the first time, just be sure you've signed up for the correct age group class ahead of time. I never received an intake call at the time I requested and I ended up driving almost all the way there only to turn around because they finally called me and told me they were all filled up. That was really disappointing. If they had called me at the time they were supposed to call me, I could have saved myself an hour of loading up both kids into the car when it's 93° out.

Every single one of the coaches have been so patient and supportive. As a mom, there's nothing I love more than seeing my son's face light up every time he masters a new skill or overcomes a challenge. Since starting parkour my son's self confidence and body awareness have drastically improved. We love FIM!

My kids have been training here for a couple of years. They both enjoy it. They are starting a competition team as well.
