What a great organization that supports the history of Army aviation. Taking a ride on this bird is something that should be on your bucket list. What you would think would be expensive is actually very affordable. This experience is rated for all ages. My flight had all ages from a 10 year old to an elderly veteran. The volunteers were great, respectful and super helpful. Thanks for the memories!

Our son graduated as a Black Hawk pilot. We surprised my husband, daughter and my sister with a Huey ride. We all absolutely LOVED it! Everybody was so nice. We really enjoyed visiting with the crew chiefs, and all the women selling merchandise and getting us through our paperwork.
Thank you!

A well run organization that has a noble mission. If you ever want to ride in a Vietnam era Huey (UH-1), look them up to see where they will be.

I did the fly in a huey helicopter ride from the Wharf in Orange Beach. The rides started from the empty field across the street from the movie theaters over by the hoteI. I had the best time. I highly recommend everyone take the time and experience this treasure. The guys and gals with Friends of Army Aviation we awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a rain delay and they definitely put safety first. Oh, I should also tell you I am afraid of heights, however, being the in helicopter I was totally able to look down and love the experience. I did close my eyes 3 times during the flight, but never once was panicked.

This is a phenomenal organization dedicated to telling the story of the history of Army Aviation through the flight of it's legacy aircraft. It is an all volunteer group of hard working heroes(men and women) who want to support America's veterans and pass on to the public the role that Army Aviation has played in our nation's history. Truly a great place to spend some time and volunteer! Lighthorse/Black Knights!

My son loved the experience at the Stuart Air Show. The ride was great. The process of signing up, getting instruction and the narration were all above expectations.
When we reached out with questions in advance, they were prompt responding.
Would highly recommend them and the flight.
