I had a disappointing experience with Gateway Community College. When I visited in January to get basic information, no one was able to assist me properly. The person I spoke with told me I needed to be a student just to receive the details I was looking for, which made no sense. Colleges should be welcoming and transparent with prospective students, but unfortunately, that was not the case here. The lack of clear communication and helpful staff made the process frustrating. I hope they improve their customer service and provide better support for those seeking information about their programs.

Beautiful building.👍Gateway is well maintained, it has friendly staffs who are willing to help you and guide you through your school journey. Gateway has a lot of space and there's not a lot of noise in order to study in a really good environment. I wouldn't like to see anything change because I liked everything about the Gateway Campus.

Unfortunately nothing about this place makes sense anymore. It used to be pretty and resourceful and now everything seems dirty and broken. Not a single good professor at this place. Everyone cares about getting paid and doing the students dirty. It’s a shame what this place has become… Only good thing about it is the free parking.

Nursing program is a scam. They don't teach anything. All exams are from question banks. No exam reviews. No credit for clinicals. Forces you mentally to withdraw to get 100% NCLEX from the day 1. Need a mass petition and class action suit.

Can't reach a live person. Always voicemail. My daughter has been trying to reach people since April of this year. Finally got a email that they won't be taking appointments until 8/15. School starts 8/28. The courses were all full at Gateway now she has to go to the Norwalk location for one of her core classes. Very disappointing 😞

I was a student at Gateway before all the Connecticut community colleges merged. Ever since the merge it has been horrible. Trying to get in touch with somebody from each specific department as all calls are routed to one they call center. The process is so unpersonable now. I spoke to one representative that called me back almost 7 hours later after I had put in my callback request since their phone lines were too busy to answer my call initially. She was laughing and coughing while trying to provide me with an email address taking my request to become a student again not serious.

I was supposed to start school at gateway in september. Unfortunately for me, my son's child Care center, resulting in me not being able to start the classes. However, I must say, the woman who does all the paperwork and organizations to get people into the CNA courses, was absolutely amazing. She was so kind-hearted and understanding and has been calling me every couple of months to see if I'm ready for a different class. Which I will probably start sometime next year.

She was so professional and I had to bring my son with me when I went in for our appointment because I didn't have daycare at the time. But it was only August so I figured we would have time.

She was so sweet and playful with my son while I filled out paperwork. The security guards were also very kind and very sweet to him. All around the college is very nice and very clean and very big LOL I'm excited to be able to actually start some courses there myself.

Beautiful atmosphere.

I was in their old building on Long wharf years ago, and seeing how they've grown and progressed into what I consider a university now, is life changing for the people attending this college.

For a community college, they offer so much for the students with assistance as well as their educational endeavors.

Their cafe offers delicious varieties which includes a wide range of healthy choices.

Very inviting environment for the students to learn in. I get the feeling that this University cares about the students that attend it
