The Gilliam Writers Group is an excellent service. They are currently helping me ghostwrite a project for a high profile client. Through this coaching, I am learning how to write in celebrity voice vs my voice. Additionally, I appreciate the hands on tutoring in developing a memoir. I highly recommend this service if you are interested in becoming a published author. Jovon is an excellent tutor and her training in the publishing and writing industry has been beneficial to mastering the skill need for my book completion.

I really can't say enough nice things about Dave O'Neill + Gilliam. After taking a year off of my dissertation, I knew that I needed accountability and writing support. I reached out to Gilliam and had an intake call with Brady. He was incredibly kind and he listened carefully to what I was looking for. He paired me with Dave O'Neill.

I have no writing training outside of academia and I was anxious about getting started as my dissertation topic is very close to my heart. Dave approached my topic with great curiosity and sensitivity. He diagnosed my avoidance and came up with a plan on how to best use our time together. Dave brings both care and his expertise into coaching and breaks it down in the most accessible way.

This is an incredible resource and I still can't believe it exists. I worked with David O'Neill initially in a class, then got to work with him as a writing coach-teacher through Gilliam and its kind of astonishing. Dave is an experienced and accomplished writer and editor; he has a sense of the landscape and takes teaching as seriously as he does writing and editing. All this care really comes through in his work. I came previously from science/med academia, but found it hard to develop one's writing seriously outside of formal institutions; most people cannot access this while also trying to make a living and attend to care responsibilities. But working with Dave has really facilitated my growth as a writer at a steady pace: in craft, pitching, building a practice, building a body of work, as well as navigating career development and material realities of freelancing. Over this time, I have been able to publish pieces, attend workshops, draft my book proposal, and develop my confidence and writing voice. Highly recommend!
