There is very little in the store as far as helping you with the actual central purpose of Girl Scouts! I took my daughter here to explore potential journeys for her Bronze Award and other badges so she could get excited and inspired but the booklets explaining things are all discontinued and the ladies can’t explain anything. They direct you to the website but when you click on the badge information for the requirements booklet, it’s “page not found”. There is no additional information in the volunteer toolkit that doesn’t redirect you to buy the badge with the missing requirements booklet. The store is 99% junk to sell you. The whole organization is starting to feel like a money grabbing racket. The focus on leadership and badge work and journeys seems very secondary to making money off cookie gear and mascot plushies. It’s such a bummer that the ladies weren’t able to talk to us about the Bronze Award, which is such a central part of Girl Scouts. The information on GSHCC website is lacking so much and we just have no idea where to start. Wasted trip. Just get stuff online and have it shipped.

Great store! Love everything they had to offer and the kids had such a great experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately upon leaving the store we were aggressively approached by a homeless man who threw soda all over our car just as our doors shut. Luckily we got away without him harming us. This is not a reflection of the Girl Scout store but their location. So just a warning before you go there be careful and prepare yourself for the aggressive Sacramento homeless population. This situation will prevent us from coming back to the store, but not from shopping online. Hopefully The Girl Scout store will relocate to a safer area.

The Girl Scout shop has so many things. It was great to visit there and see all the great things. We got some supplies and found a few treasures. I am looking forward to some great Girl Scout adventures.
