Today, I along with my brother in law and my nephew came into the Good Samaritan . After waiting almost an hour in line to get gifts for my daughters and my nephew , we allowed in. My nephew received his gift and I also received 3 gifts for my daughters . My gifts were taken back because my daughters were not with me. They had gone with my wife out of town to visit her sister who just had surgery and my wife had given me the 3 tickets to the gifts so I could pick them up. I did not read instructions on rules and would have been ok with it. But a Caucasian older white man who I assumed was the director or some higher up person began to go off on me in front of staff and other families telling me that these gifts were for children and not for adults and that I was cheating my kids out of gifts and a chance to win a bike and the tickets I had were recycle or fake .I tried to explain why my kids were not with me and that I did not know about rules. His response was you should read instructions on tickets.He was loud and continue to chastise me and making comment that he believe in Christ and what he stands for but stilll talked me that the way he did . I did not respond negatively but kept my comments to myself and did not nit want to make a scene but after I left I thought of how I would have responded in a proper way. I appreciate what this organization does for families but did not appreciate the way that I was treated.

You used to be able to get food 3 times a year but now you can go once a month and they also pray for you!!!

Basic small thrift store, but has new cheap couches and love seats for great prices in the back. Also usually good selection of used apliances.

Very sweet staff, very helpful and im grateful. Wow the guy b4 me....really you got fed twice once with the word of God and then your belly....i think the lady ib the front has to deal with ungrateful people like you but she still puts the time in to help you still

Great place. People here really care. It's Christian based. They help a lot of families with boxes of food and some readings from the good book.

Why it says training is beyond me. They really don't provide anything. But if someone wants to find out anything for themselves I suggest to call and get Specific details.
