What. A. Let down. Where do I start? The sermon was chaotic and forgettable. He started out with a message but it was mostly about him and the other elder holding out their hat begging for donations. This place looks totally rundown. I guess they are going for the reclaimed driftwood from a junkyard look. See pictures from my phone. People in the church seem friendly but nobody knows whats going on. They renamed the church to grace maricopa but some visitors I talked to tell me they renamed it a few years ago too. Parts of the church are very dirty and equipment is propped up on chairs. As you walk in, you will see other disarray in staff areas like nobody cares. My kids were in sunday school and they said it was ok until two of the kids started fighting. We could see the pastor getting visually agitated at the noise coming from sunday school. Skip it. We had a rotten time here.

So I got a letter from this church telling me that my membership with the church will be terminated soon. (See picture) I couldn't even reply to them because the date on the letter was the same day as the postmark. I don't even know what to say. I tithed heavily at this church over the past few decades and I am also a snowbird. I was helping the school and ministries. I was delayed coming back to my home here in Maricopa and I got this letter. I confronted both pastors recently, this week and on Sunday. They told me I can apply for membership again. A heavy set man and another man with a cane approached me and asked me to leave. I won't be renewing my membership. No thanks.

I am very happy here, and I was so welcomed that it feels like I know everybody for a long time. The church is small, but every member is very loving. There 2 services and the one I assist is a teaching, very informative, and Bible based. I thank God I found a church.

I was walking my dogs and we strolled on the church’s sidewalk. As we were walking by, I’m assuming it was the pastor, a heavy set African American man came running out the door and told me to get my dogs off his property. I was shocked, as we were just walking by. I explained we were just going for a walk and he started calling me ignorant because he said my dogs could poop on “his” church area. I explained that my dogs have already pooped and that wasn’t going to be an issue. Then he threatened to call the police. All of this happened in under 2 minutes. He was extremely rude and I don’t understand how he could be a man of God. As I was walking away he started recording me as if I was going to do something wrong when I was simply walking my dogs past his location. I am here for the holidays and have never seen this man before. I’m shocked that this encounter came from a religious man. Not sure how people can enjoy coming here to worship.

I've been to this place a few times at Easter and Christmas. Havent been here for a few years but I remembered they had a celebrate recovery and other outreach programs available. I pulled into their dirt parking lot and was yelled at by a man with a cane and a confederate hat. I'm hispanic so he really didnt like me. There was also a tall elderly lady that came out to speak with me. She basically told me I don't know what Im talking about even though I showed her the latest publication listing this address for celebrate recovery. I dont know how people would even come to this "church" what a joke.

I'm just not happy with this church. They don't have a school anymore, the message feels like a forced lecture and it's not very welcoming. I tried a few times but the environment was just fake and dated. Pass.

My child is "was"" enrolled in this school. I interviewed with the pastor of this church a few months ago to see if my children and I would be a good fit for the school. The interview went well and the pastor suggested we make an attempt to be a part of this church since our children will be attending. Since we moved to Maricopa, I agreed that we can maybe do that and he asked for the name of our current pastor in Scottsdale. In the last month, this church and school have had a lot of drama. The school is closing and our kids and the teachers are going to be removed. Our pastor in Scottsdale tells us that the pastors at this church have called them to tell them that our family causes problems at this church and to look out. My family doesn't know what to do. I can't stand this church and the problems but we arent going here anymore

The churches aee sopost to be safe places to go but not this church unless you are a member they will chase you away. It is publicly know that anytime you need somewhere that is safe to go they always say go to churches, police departments, or fire departments. I pulled over as it is unsafe to be on a phone while driving and was confronted asking if I needed help I said no im doing something on my phone real fast. They said this is private property I commented parking lots are not public property . The person went around got my licence plate and called someone else who came over to tell me is private property and to leave or they would call cops so I left once threatened to leave. This is not appropriate of a church when I did nothing wrong and was not doing anything suspecuous I was upfront and honest and this is how this church treated me i will remove it from my list of churches to check out in town as I just moved here hope other churches in area are more welcoming than this.
