Absolutely love Groove Zone! I felt so intimidated to try a dance class especially in LA and after one class all of my fears were gone. I’ve done three 8 week courses so far and can notice such a difference in my confidence in and outside of dance. It’s been so fun to try something new and get outside of my comfort zone. We even did a halftime performance for the WNBA!

It’s also such a fun and welcoming community where I have met some amazing new friends and have felt nothing but support and encouragement.

You can’t go wrong with an instructor, Auchi, Yolanda, and Manuela are all wonderful!

My husband and I recently attended our first course at Groove Zone, and we can't say enough good things about our experience! As adults with no prior dance experience, we were nervous about stepping into the studio, but our instructor, Manuela, was absolutely fantastic.

From the very first moment, Manuela made everyone feel welcomed and at ease. The class was structured in a way that broke down each step and technique, making it easy for us as beginners to follow along.

What truly stood out was Manuela's patience and ability to provide personalized feedback throughout the class. She took the time to ensure that each student understood the choreography, making adjustments as needed. We left each session feeling accomplished and inspired to keep learning.

The supportive community that Groove Zone fosters is another highlight. Everyone is there to enjoy themselves and grow together, which made for a fun and social environment. I can not say enough good things about Yolanda and Groove Zone LA. Last year I was new to the area and had browsed around for awhile for a “complete beginner, no experience at all” adult dance class. It seems every dance studio in or around LA is trying to produce the next big *star* lol. I literally just wanted to learn some moves and have fun in a judgment free setting, and Groove Zone was exactly that. I popped into a free trial class and that same night signed up for a 5-week “absolute beginners” course that concluded with a performance night for friends and family! I remember being so nervous each class and especially nervous the night of the performance, but it was such a great way to meet other people wanting to break out of their shell and overtime there really becomes a sense of community. I was enrolled in three “Level 1” beginner courses over the course of 8 months and had so much fun along the way.

Unfortunately, changes in circumstances made me unable to continue enrolling in courses, but I definitely could have seen myself being enrolled in courses year-round.These classes really became the highlight of my week in a new town not knowing many people.

Takeaway: Yolanda’s classes are great for anyone looking to have some fun, meet new people, learn some moves and blow off some steam after work on a weekday. Highly recommend! 🪩🕺

Honestly, Groove Zone offers the best dance classes for adult beginners here in LA. Don’t even look anywhere else. You’ve found the right spot. I’ve been coming since March and I really love how open, fun, and encouraging this environment has been. I have been willing to travel over an hour one way just to attend these dance classes. Even though I have some dance experience, coming to Groove Zone has definitely made me a better dancer. I’ve enjoyed my time here and I know anyone else who joins will too.

I took a leap and joined Level 3 at Groove Zone. Learning the choreography by Manuela was fun and challenging. If you’re a dancer who wants to take it to the next level, I recommend joining Groove Zone.

Love the classes, I’ve been taking them for a year now and can honestly say I feel way more confident about dancing. Having patterns of motion makes dancing much more enjoyable!! Thank you Yolanda for offering these classes to us non dancers!!
