I've been a student at Grossmont College for three years now; I took classes at different colleges, but I didn't receive the education I received here.
Most the instructors are well prepared and care about the learning of the student and the learning outcome more than the grade; because of course, grade is not everything!
As of fall of 2018, I have taken a total of 101 units for different majors, and they were amazing.

It's a community college... Basically if you didn't pay your dues In Highschool or you can't afford traditional higher education at a state school you end up here. The tech center is pretty good and their Griffin center is pretty nice. Parking is a nightmare. You will notice after 4 weeks it into every semester the attendance just drops off. The faculty is pretty good. I would give them a 4/5 but the classes they offer is a little disappointing.

Great wifi. Super friendly, educated staff. Helpful student leaders. Clean facilities. Tons of trees, open areas, benches, and shade. Computers, printers, and charging stations.

I’m a double major student at grossmont who strives to better his life. The worst experience I had with the library. I borrowed a couple of items before and returned them in timely manner. Last time, I had tried to borrow a laptop there was only Asian old lady ( I think supervisor)that I asked to let me borrow a device to complete my semester she checked my SI and went loud in very condescending way “You borrow so much and I have the right not to lend you” my answer was so polite to calm her down but instead and went further to put her sulk on me and said” I’m already annoyed get outta here” I cried for being insulted for nothing I committed, I hope someone listen to my grieve I’m totally devastated and lost enthusiasm to finish my semester.

Admin and counseling department was fast and helpful in my enrollment process last summer; better facilities than my old community college, better professors, better parking and food options; just a great campus overall. Really benefited from the library/web advisor resources. You either make the most of your experiences or you don’t and a lot of these “bad reviews” are pretty subjective as most reviews are anyway, but they’re not the general makeup of what kind of college it really is. Plus, I’ve been through worse circumstances and treatment at my old college so if these folks think Grossmont is bad then they haven’t been anywhere else to be able to compare!! Grateful to be here; I feel like I can actually transfer from here successfully.

Love this campus and the staff. All very kind and helpful. The teaching staff are also very caring and helpful with their students. I can only speak for the Child Development department, but it seems like this college does it’s best to find the most qualified staff for their positions.
