So far my application experience has not been good. It has very hard to get in touch with anyone.
I have emailed, called and barely get a response back, I saw the reviews before I started the application process but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But best believe the reviews. They do not make you feel welcomed or even feel like they want to help at all.

Meh.. I had Jackie as an advisor but really Denise , neither really answered questions for the program I was interested. If they did, well I should say if Denise did she was vague in responses and when I asked to speak to Jackie I was met with “ she’s really busy” which leaves a bad taste in my mouth because when you sign up for something you want to feel welcomed and inviting with all questions answered and I definitely did NOT feel that here. Not to mention the 40 hrs of shadowing a radiation therapist before you’d need to complete and have 4 letters of recommendation BEFORE class but I still have yet to have answers on where to get those if never been previously enrolled AND being a stay at home parent with no work history to have someone recommend .

I just graduated from their LVN program and honestly I could not be happier. I have had a great experience at this school. Mrs Jen the Nclex director is a wonderful teacher and she was such a great help and understanding person for me. The student services are excellent, and I highly recommend this school to anyone seeking a supportive and enriching educational environment.

I started their Medical assistant program in March this year and honestly I could not be happier. I have had a great experience at this school. Miss Hughes the MA director is such a great help! She really goes out her way to make sure all her students understand what they are learning and helps you as much as she can so that none of the students get left behind. Dr Daniel one of the instructors also is super helpful and patient as well. She always will stay after class to help any students that need help so that everyone is on the same page. The program has many different courses and learning tools to ensure your success when you take your state exam to get licensed and pass. I highly recommend this school for their medical assistant program. I can't speak for the other programs because I don't know those directors or teachers but I am honestly considering my BSN program here as well.

This is the worst school I know of. We were in the last semester and we asked them to do our exam before our graduation. But none of them gave us an answer. They always do their own thing. They don't pay attention to the students. I don't recommend this school to you. This is the worst school in concord . They don't understand the problems of their students.

I attend Concord campus and they have decided, at the end of our program, to change to graduation we are having. The previous classes have had a graduation with the program they are a part of. We have been told they are going to make us wait for months and graduate with the entire college. We worked hard to become nurses and to have to sacrifice all we have worked for to have a mediocre impersonal graduation that we are paying for as part of our tuition is unethical.

We have sent numerous e-mails in the past 3 weeks (6/21/22) to Jason Frank and Joe K. with no response. They will not acknowledge us, not even in the hallways.

We are done in 3 months. To not know what is going on with a celebration we worked so hard to achieve is very unsettling and I do not feel valued as a student here. We are being bullied into something we don't want.

Gurnick Academy has to be the worst school in the Bay Area. They introduced a new testing system late into the program for module 4 students such as myself; I have mostly Bs and one A throughout the first three mods. The lecture does not match the quizzes . Some of the teachers can't teach and are only for a check. They do not prepare you for the ATI exam exit at all. I am a current student and having trouble with ATI proctored exams. They come in during exams and ask for payments instead of waiting 1 hour for the student to finish the exam. This school only care about money. Who brings in ATI instructors after somebody has taken the ATI exam for the first time? This school is TRASH !!!!!! - Cameron W

It is a great school to learn! They will not let you down and will help you if you are having a hard time in certain class. I had maximize my clinical time because of Mr. Norman Elizaga, he is very professional and knowledgeable, he taught us a lot of things in nursing that i did not experience with any other instructor. He will challenge you until you become a competitive student. At first i was having a hard time with some of my classes until i was put in his clinical group and got my mind set up in concept mapping, that way my classes went easier and became understandable. I then started getting As in my didactics. He changed how my thinking process works as well as my critical thinking in nursing. He is very professional dealing with students. He is the master of wound care! I have seen his works and how professionally he interacts and manages his client’s wounds. Someday I want to be as great as him dealing with wounds. He helped put me on the best path for success. I always thank the Highest Power for letting me meet and be trained by sir Norman. When you decide to go to Gurnick, hope that he’ll be your instructor, trust me, YOU WILL BE IN THE BEST HANDS! ms. Debbie Galloway, ms. Maria Perez and mr. Scott Wallace and of course Dr. G! They will help you as well and they will not let you down. All the Instructors I mentioned worked their hardest just so i can understand the curriculum well. Ms. Debbie gave me so much emotional support whenever she notice that i am about to give up, Mr. Scott helped me get through my anxiety. These Instructors will not just give you knowledge but they pour their heart in this and they will take care of you. That is Dedication! You guys are the best! I am now almost graduating and i will never forget all the things you guys have done. Thank you sir Norman, ms. Debbie, ms. Maria, dr. G, sir Scott! I am very confident that because of all the help that you have given me, i will become a good nurse. Thank you so much! Kudos!
