I had an amazing experience being a student at HHI. Any educational journey can be stressful and intense. With that said I've been practicing massage for 5 years now and I’m also teaching massage at a different institution. One thing is for certain I look back on my time at this school fondly. From the intimate educational setting to the hands on coaching. My education from this institution will always be the foundation for how I approach my sessions and my practice as a whole. I am currently enrolled in their 550-hour Massage Therapy Certification program (14 weeks in so far!) and holy smokes, seeking education from this very school is the greatest decision and investment I’ve ever made. I graduated from HHI in 2013 and I learned so much. Andrea was my teacher and she was so knowledgeable and inspiring. Even with bad knees they taught me body mechanics in a way I could really adapt to. All the teachers and staff for the school are so wonderful and they make learning fun and memorable. I continue to go here for my studies and I couldn't be happier. My clients can always feel the difference in my techniques than many other massage therapists, and they always want to come back again. I know some individuals might be looking to their student clinic for services. Please consider NHI in Studio City, Santa Ana, or Ontario. Right now they're providing reduced rates (check online to be sure, though, don't take my word for it). In any case, they're regular rates have been $30/50min $60/100mins (varies by location yet so far hasn't gone beyond $37/50mins).
At this location I was quoted at a couple hundred. What!? For students!? NHI offers discounted rates given that you're being serviced by students, yet to this day I have yet to complain about any of their students. They are very well trained and have really impressed me with how professional and meticulous they are. Something to consider as you make your decision. 😉✌🏽
