We began our experience at Harbor Chase with the wonderful Louis Cohen. He was and has been very attentive, caring, kind and generous. He made us feel comfortable and reassured in moving our 100 year-old cousin to Harbor Chase. We were worried about her transition to a new living facility and it went as smoothly as anyone could’ve imagined. Thanks to Louis for making her feel welcome, supported and safe. It was the best choice we all could have made.

Very happy with our choice to move my grandmother into Harbor Chase. Lewis was great from the start. He took the time to meet with us in the beginning and address any questions or concerns we had. We felt he truly cared about his residents and making their transition as seamless as possible which eased our worries. My grandmother always how kind he is. This is a very warm and welcoming community . Staff and the residence are engaged, kind , and supportive. Our 100 year-old cousin recently moved in. We were concerned with the transition for her. I cannot thank Lewis Cohen enough for the exceptional support and kindness throughout the process of placing my mother into this beautiful, assisted living facility. DONT BE TRICKED BY THE WEBSITE’S DESCRIPTION!! Harbor Chase of Branford is not the place I would send another loved one for Assisted Living. Every time I visited my family member, there was new staff (very high turn-over rate). The staff (especially the night staff) is not qualified to handle small complaints like “my back hurts, can I have some Tylenol?” So they constantly sent her to the hospital. They charged her for services she didn’t receive. They STOLE items we left in the room during the process of us moving her out. There was little to no communication from the facility unless they were asking for money. DO NOT BE TRICKED BY THE PRICE ON THE WEBSITE. We paid more than double that amount. DO NOT BE TRICKED BY THE “3 On-Site Restaurants” from the WEBSITE. There is only one place to eat: the main dining room. And this food is NOT gourmet. Her CNA and the concierge were the only two people who I recognized every time I visited and who genuinely cared about her.

I can not speak highly enough of the experience my family has had with Harbor Chase of Branford! Every visit, call and interaction has been friendly and professional. They have welcomed my parents from the first time through the door as family - so much so that we now refer to Lewis as our new brother! Every staff member we have interacted with has been caring, friendly and funny! You can tell they enjoy working there. We are so happy to have found somewhere my parents can live knowing they will be well taken care of! The treats from Chef Antonio don’t hurt either! 🙂

Just moved our parents into HarborChase of Branford and we couldn’t be happier. Lewis has been helping us every step of the way and truly makes us feel like family.
