This place was absolutely amazing! Amanda at the front desk was the sweetest person ever! First she had our room ready early for us, then we switched rooms 3 times(our reasons lol) and she never complained not once, ran around helping us, and was just the sweetest person while through it all. Rooms were so clean, very nice, housekeeping crew was so sweet. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It was so central to everything we needed and everywhere we had to go!

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I enjoy staying at different properties across Hilton's portfolio. A short overnight vacation to Connecticut brought me to this property. ||As I always do, I checked in and chose my room on the Hilton app the day before arrival. No problems there. I also noted that the website said that there were renovations in progress.||Upon arrival, I did stop at the desk to inquire about spring water, and was told that it was in the room. I had the Digital Key. Often I am offered a plastic key as well, just in case the Digital doesn't work, but here I was just told I was all set. No problems getting into the room when I got there.||I found the room to be ample size, although the carpet looked a bit worn and in need of replacement. Immediately I could tell that whatever renovations were happening, this was an example of the BEFORE, not the AFTER. The TV, while it worked well, was tiny in comparison to what I am used to in other properties. No issues with WiFi or climate control either.||I also noticed some construction noise when I arrived, coming from the floor above mine, but it stopped long before it was time to go to sleep.||Bathroom had plenty of room to put down my toiletries. I did take note that while most Hilton properties have switched to large spray bottles for things like shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, here the old fangled pre-Pandemic small bottles were still in use.||The view.... not that it matters when you're there to sleep, but looking out my window at the rear of the property, I looked right into dumpsters full of demolition material from the construction. Not the best thing to look at.||Bed was comfortable and I got a good night of sleep.||Checked out via the app and I was on my way.||Overall, I would recommend this property but give them a chance to complete their renovations.

The staff was PHENOMENAL! The bartender made a mistake on our drinks and fixed it no questions asked. The waiter at breakfast was very attentive and friendly. The lady at the front desk in the evening helped my physically challenged sister to her room with her luggage and the lady in the morning gave us a fantastic recommendation for a breakfast diner to meet up with family not staying in the hotel. The bed was a bit too hard for my wife and I but that's just a personal preference so I wouldn't hold it against them.

Below average property from the Hilton basic standard. Management/ customer service 2/5. (Can read below) Room 3.5/5 (no trash can at all in the room even after asking for one 3 times. Renovated room & clean) Dining/ breakfast 2/5 (limited options, $10 for little grill cheese & no drink. Breakfast no fruits or paid buffet. Limited made to order items). Tried to get hot chocolate in the am & hot water had black pieces of something in the water. Disgusting. A lot of trip hazards from lobby to elevators due to construction. They did mention renovation on website. Diamond member for years, I stay in hotels two weeks ish a month. Second worst experience. Tried tomato bisque & grill cheese it was good. Second time cheese wasn't melted. Margarita flatbread/ pizza didn’t taste good at all eh not a big deal. I booked experience the stay package which gives you $25 a day credit to use on property. Great alternative to getting the breakfast included package. Same price but you have the choice to use credit on breakfast/ dinner or snacks. front desk staff wasn’t knowledgeable. A few friendly front desk employees. Some incompetent/ untrained ones. Shanice spent way over 20 mins looking for my package that showed delivered and I had confirmation and showed her my AirTag showing the package in the building. When finally found it, then couldn’t find the acceptance sheet for me to sign. I had to put my foot down, said I will sign later I need to go Im already late for work bc of this. Then another incident with her the morning of checkout. I asked not to be checked out in the system but if she could get me a copy of the receipt so I can see if the manager applies the experience the stay credit as she said it was taken care of. I got notification from credit card for charges ($66) for misc. I asked why she had checked me out when I specifically asked not to. So I could avoid this. She got a bad attitude and untrue excuses. Told front desk to have manager call me bc I was going to work so I can get the credit figured out my first morning there. I got back to hotel at 10 to pick up more packages for work. Asked for Kristin (GM) she had called my room and couldn’t get a hold of me. I waited to speak to her, addressed all the issues to her and asked to look into the credit. She said she is aware, everything is taken care of, being worked on as we spoke. Came back to room at 7pm still no trashcan in room. They used coffee cup for my tomato bisque. Inconsistent dinner quality. Next day asked to see the charges and still no credit applied for the package I bought. After checkout today, had to reach out to them myself bc no one followed up even tho I asked for them to. Male manager said he will work on fixing the credits and I got a email from Kristen of the partial refund, then explanation to why all wasn’t refunded. Credit doesn’t cover any taxes which is new bc other Hilton garden inns I had no issues. (Doesn’t say anywhere, didn’t tell me before). Dropped the ball on all the issues. "The HGI Promise," ensures guest satisfaction by stating that if something isn't right, guests should inform any hotel team member, and they will make it right. They don’t stand by it at all. Poor managed property. All this could’ve been prevented if the things that were addressed to manager the first day would’ve been taken care of. Place wouldn’t have gotten a review good or bad one.

I was venturing back from a long commute from Wilton, Ct on route to RI. This was a fine oiled machine of an enterprise. The staff were super attentive. The room was mint. The location is terrific. They have a little bar and they even had a little band playing, which I thought was very cool. Thanks for a great stay.

WORST HILTON EVER! I’ve been a diamond member with Hilton for years and this was not only the worst service I’ve ever received but also the most I’ve ever been overcharged. I travel for months at time for work and always try to stay in a Hilton property but after this stay I will be reconsidering that. I was here for 29 nights.
1. Staff is not only rude but very unwelcoming. They made it feel like I was an inconvenience for them.
2. Gym is missing random dumbbells and other equipment and the stuff they do have is broken. I was there 29 days and it wasn’t even attempted to be fixed.
3. Breakfast isn’t free. Even the buffet was almost $20 and it’s a smaller selection than the regular free Hilton breakfast.
4. Laundry is a joke. I needed quarters for the machines and the front desk acted like I was crazy when I asked for them. I had to run the dryer 4 times to dry a normal sized load and when I brought it up to the desk they said it is what it is instead of making it right.
5. They wouldn’t honor a company discount rate because I booked to late even though I was added to the project late. I was overcharged by thousands.
6. Half of the hotel was there for the outage and working nights. I understand the cleaning crew still has a job to do but they slam doors, yell to each other all the way down the halls, and play music, making it extremely difficult to get any sleep.
7. The rooms suck. My bed was sunk in on both sides and not comfortable. The bathrooms have nasty yellow stains in the center of the tub as well as rust trails running down from all of the metal pieces.
8. The second floor smells. As soon as you get off the elevator you get hit with a weird wet dog type smell. It never went away.

I had a lot of coworkers who also decided to stay at this hotel and everyone I spoke to had the same experience. We come up yearly for this outage and I will never stay at this hotel again. I wish I would’ve taken photos but I was so tired and fed up I didn’t. If I could give this zero stars I would. It’s an outdated hotel with a ton of issues that overcharges.

Spent one night here. The hotel room is ok. Bed was not comfortable. They are worthy of 4 stars for their stellar front desk and morning breakfast crew. Breakfast was good and had a nice selection. The team are friendly and helpful. Thanks for being awesome!

Never acknowledged as an Hold member. Warm bottles of water in room. Asked front desk person not to be near an elevator & was told it was several rooms away. Room was 1 away from elevator so went back & asked to change. She said "It's not RIGHT by the elevator!" with an attitude but changed us. As I suspected she placed us as far away as possible. With the crumby layout of the hotel we walked probably 1/8 of a mile. There was a bump in the floor (2 buildings joined?) and upon leaving my wife tripped and fell. Fortunately for us (& them) she was ok.
