My daughter age 10 has started her tutoring here a few weeks ago. The staff and teachers are very friendly and helpful. My daughter loves her tutor that she works with and doesn't mind going. Which is great. The support staff is friendly and helpful if I need to move a session. My daughter has shared some great pointers her tutor has given her. I'm excited to see her progress and improvement as she works with her tutor in the coming months.

Huntington Learning Center has been incredible in helping our son understand math subjects, improve his grades, and most importantly his confidence. The tutors are teachers, with dedication and professionalism. They work to match a tutor to the student so it is most successful. I would recommend Huntington to everyone!

I took my kids in to be evaluated for some extra help because my son has a learning disability and my daughter needs some extra confidence. The evaluation took 3 hours and they were so wiped out that I'm sure they both just winged the tests after a certain point (it's too much for grade schoolers). Had the consultation to over the results and the director of this facility had me in tears several times. She had nothing positive to say about the kids or how they did. Everything was very negative and presented in the harshest way possible. I'm a single mom working two jobs and said I could only bring them in 1 day a week and the director said I'd be doing the kids a disservice doing that. There's no way to help them only 1 day a week. Any time I tried to talk or explain things she's talked over me and refused to listen. I will not be taking my kids back there because the director was a bully and I will not let her bully my kids the way she did me.

If you're looking for a quality learning experience, check else where. From the 7 sessions I've had here for the ACT, I've been through five teachers, only two of whom I've found helpful. They have a strict curriculum on books made in 2005 that the teachers read through along with you which can be counter productive and a waste of the valuable time you have with them ($45/hour). Their learning style is textbook based and can easily be found online withe explanations. The previous owner kept badgering us for money even though we told him we would pay next session and accidentally double charged us, not returning the extra payment, saying he would take it off the fee for the next session with questioning whether we would actually WANT a next session. Don't waste thousands of dollars here for ACT prep like I did; there are many quality prep courses online, some free, that you can actually learn from .

On the first day of tutoring, the owner of the facility was not very clear about what was going to happen. My son needs help in math. I feel the facility has a very low budget since the owner is also the receptionist. When I finally found out the plan for my son and met the tutor, I was very underwhelmed. For $60/hr, I want to be excited about the process. I'm going to look into Kaplan.

I think they need to redo how they do their evaluation. I think 3 hours for an elementary child to sit and do a bunch of paperwork is a little much. Was basically told he was behind on everything and we need to come in 2 days a week and then 4 days in the summer. A little pushy on when we should start (even though we said we would contact them in a few months, this was before we decided not to go there). When his teacher read over his evaluation, she agreed he’s not behind like they say he is.

"It works...my daughter went from getting A's and B's on homework and getting D's on tests to getting similar scores in homework and testing. They properly diagnosed it was a lack of reading speed and test taking skills. My daughter went on to have a really good high school career ...did the program for about 9 months in her sophomore year. She graduated with high honors in college and going for the PhD in Physical Therapy. She did complete one year of engineering her freshman year before changing majors so there was the serious test of her high school education. "
