I highly recommend this language arts program for all reading levels!
While this program can be used for remedial learning, it can be used to advance your young reader as well! My daughter is a highly motivated reader who enjoys how engaging the live online classes can be. She also looks forward to the way the Institute of Reading Development have perfected the gamification of language arts!
As a parent, it can be difficult to find ways to engage in my daughters learning process; the Institute of Reading Development makes it painless and efficient! My daughter looks forward to each and every class she has and every new book is very exciting!

Amazing! The teacher was great and my daughter looked forward to her weekly class. The books were easy to follow along and the teacher made learning sight words fun! Also the weekly assignments online were fun and engaging. This program definitely helped my daughter entering Kindergarten. She’s in the top two on “map testing”!

The teachers are highly skilled, and the book selections are excellent. What made the biggest difference for me was learning how to read effectively with my son. Now, we both enjoy reading much more and apply the tips and tricks we learned together. I would recommended the program to a friend, but I do feel the price is a bit too high.

The reading program we discovered was truly amazing for a myriad of reasons! First off, the selection of books was spot-on for the children's age group. My daughter was absolutely enthralled by each book she encountered, which is no small feat! Also, the session lengths were considerately crafted to perfectly match the kids' attention spans while still allowing enough time to delve into each aspect of the program. But what really set this program apart was the instructor, Ms. Penny. She was phenomenal at keeping the kids engaged. Her jolly demeanor and organizational skills made each session not just educational, but a total joy. If you're considering a program that will captivate and educate your child, this one is a winning choice!

AMAZING teachers here! The Summer The 5-week in-person Late Summer program was totally worth every penny. Our son gained the confidence he needed to start 1st grade & he is now reading independently to us - the entire book. They mail you the books you need - DO NOT read those books ahead, DO NOT bring other siblings to your child's sessions - it's a HUGE disservice to those of us that are trying to get our kiddos focused & to fall in love with reading, no matter how much you think your smaller children "are okay on a tablet" or phone, THEY ARE A DISTRACTION to the amazing learning environment these instructors put together. These folks know what they're doing, they're engaged, creative, caring & motivating throughout the program, changing the learning with movement, sight word activities & even the homework portion is SUPER important, fun & motivating to our little one - he looked forward to the activities with Wordy. This program WORKS, just plan on being an involved, committed parent & your kiddo will flourish.

This reading program is very professional and my son loved it. It helped him progress through his love of reading fluently and quickly. He also helped him understand and discuss the message of each book with his classmates. Great!! I would recommend it.

Excellent experience! Allows for practice in a slightly more formal, but fun, classroom environment, truly excellent and obviously well-informed teaching, and great books and online activities to spark interest in reading! I thought I would try it with my 5 year old twins before they start kindergarten, despite a strong dose of skepticism, and I have been very pleasantly surprised!

My daughter needed to raise her reading skills and I found the program through school fliers that were passed out. I gave it a shot since I felt it could only benefit her. I was absolutely right in enrolling her in the program. She initially went in feeling intimidated but as the weeks passed her confidence grew faster than I could have imagined. There is a lot of work to do between classes but if you're enrolled in the summer program, the kids will have the time to do the work. If you're a parent who enrolls their child into this program, trust in the process because you will see results in the short time they attend.
