This place has sold its soul. Money, self promotion, huge raises for upper management and huge layoffs for the hard working staff is the name of the game at IRIS. The Executive Director (Maggie Mitchel Salem) verbally denegrates minorities, took a massive raise, and cut virtually all services for undocumented people. She's taken the money she saved by firing the staff who actually cared about refugees to hire top level PR people and lawyers to push the agency's false narratives. The irony is that even with Maggie's new paired down gaggle of sycophantic spin-doctors IRIS still has the audacity to be buying a new, much larger multi-million dollar office building with your donation dollars. Funny how Maggie never mentions that while pleading for the public's financial support during her press conferences. Still thinking about donating to IRIS? Think twice! While your heart's in the right place your support should go to organizations that actually care about the refugees they purport to serve. IRIS truly is the shame of new haven.

Great place to bring your household goods for donations. No clothing bit like new towels, linens, dmall household appliances, silverware, plates, etc....

Nice staff and well meaning; however they can do a better job with their housing program. Tenants come in with little to no understanding of how to manage and maintain a rental property. This can lead to housing issues with their relocated clients and should be addressed.

Great organization , full of great people.
I moved in to New York City , yet if I have a problem that requires help , I turn back to IRIS and they never hesitate to come forward for help, it would take me a while to list all of their service provided for needed people,
