A gem of a theater well worth your support. A refreshing break from the glitz and crush of the multiplex. Intimate theaters. Super comfortable seats that don’t lay down (If you need that, do a rental from your couch IMO). Great variety of all kinds of films - English and foreign. Just saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood there. Audiences polite as a rule - no talking or crunching fake cheese nachos. Snack bar simple, nice, and fresh.

This is by far my favorite movie theater in the area. They have a very interested and varied program, with frequent special events, hosted, and historic screenings. The theaters, while small, are clean and comfortable and the sound and projection have always been perfect when I have attended. The staff is young and friendly, and their mission is admirable.

The Burns is wonderful. Not just the excellent movies, the friendly staff or the affordable prices but the spirit of the place. The unspoken philosophy is 'in spite of a world going to hell in an ever diminishing IQ hand basket we're not going to lower our standards nor disrespect your intelligence'. Ya gotta respect that huh? I also HIGHLY recommend the Summer and Semester Arts Programs for children. All in all a gem.

The theaters are small but we've not had issues getting seats. Everything is clean and the staff is always very nice. A good selection of movies beyond the typical multiplex fare.

Went here to see The Shape of Water during it's limited release. Smaller sized theatre but offered excellent viewing from practically anywhere. They offer student discounts. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I had a great experience here.

Attending a screening of Micheal O'Neill's "On Yoga The Architecture of Peace" and it was a great event. The theater was clean and easily accessible. I did not purchase any concessions but they did have popcorn and drinks and some candy available.

Attended 2 day teacher's workshop at the 3rd and 4th grade level. Learned the essential elements of teaching film making, and how to integrate it with literacy instruction. Fantastic opportunity to learn something with immediate application in my classroom. Thx to the wonderful instructors. Every part of the workshop was engaging, modeling ways we could learn and in turn teach our students. The ViewNowDoNows were especially relevant and easy to find on the website.

I saw a film Non-Fiction. French subtitles. Unlikable characters cheating on each other. The 6.7 rating is accurate. The film center provides an opportunity to see mainstream and non-mainstream offerings as well as learning about film and sharing a love of film with others. A treasure.
