I was an adult volunteer (at the 32 Gifts business) for my daughter’s 5th grade class’ day here. Great experience for the kids! The only thing I’d change is to make it a little bit of a slower pace or spread it over a little longer of a day as some kids were having difficulty keeping up with what we were doing due to the fast pace and not being able to absorb the instructions over the course of the day.

I will never forget the experience I had when I was in 5th grade, they make you do pretend work which is really stressful, I was the CEO of the news company and I had so many other kids coming up to me needing their papers signed and stuff, I had the last break schedule, and when I went on break to spend my “money” they had already closed everyone else’s station, no snacks, no toys to buy, nothing. I cried, and to this day, I think about that day and how awful it was for a 10 year old. It didn’t teach me anything except that adults aren’t always the most considerate of children’s experiences. That was at least 9 years ago, I hope they’ve changed the schedule and work load so that no kids are left empty handed or stressed out like I was.

I was incredibly disappointed in the BizTown summer camp program. My 12 year was so excited to attend the program with his friend, both very interested in the subject matter provided in the camp description. The student leader of their group had a terrible attitude, telling the children he "had" no interest in being there on the first day. On Thursday, this same student leader told the kids in his group that Friday would be boring and they may as well stay home. He wasn't lying. I came about an hour early to pick up my son, and they were all just sitting there. For almost $400, there should have been organized activities for the kids at all times. On Thursday, the children were told they would receive lunch from Canes Chicken, one of the program sponsors. Consequently, I did not pack lunch for my son. When I picked him up that day, he told me they were given two chicken fingers. That's it for 7 hours. Disappointing for the kids and frustrating for the parents.
The entire program has so much potential and for the most part, the children who attend WANT to learn. I drove all the way from Lewis Center to drop my kids off. We will not be back and I strongly urge others to save their money if they are considering the camp.

My students love their JABizTown experience. It's pretend play for fifth graders, while living the economics lessons they've learned in your classroom.

I Remember Coming Here 4 years ago for a class field trip it was probably the funniest field trip I ever had I was CEO of the Columbus Blue Jackets Store I would recommend this place

I have not been to JA BizTown. But i am going with my school (5th Grade) and i looked at videos and everything... AND I THINK ITS GONNA BE AWESOME!!!!
