My husband and I visited this lovely museum recently and I highly recommend it. The Director talked with us at length about the baskets and the weaving process. Very interesting and informative. The woman in the gift shop was very helpful as well. Great experience!

Lovely center with impressive displays of historic tribal life. We were fortunate to actually have a guide provide us with even more detail. What is impressive is that the local tribe continues to keep many traditions alive. Fishing, acorn meal making, ceremony and language are only a few. It is inspirational to see the respect for the great Klamath river which provides life to the area. Very grateful to have had this learning opportunity.

The most wonderful and well informative 2 ladies that waited on my son and I,they help me find the land my grandmother lived on for awhile back in the 70's,next went to see it and I can't believe how much has changed still beautiful I will edit this post when I get the names of the 2 wonderful ladies

If you're visiting Happy Camp this should be on your list of places to visit. The People's Center is a beautiful building with a museum of Karuk history and a gift shop. Everyone is welcome to visit the People's Center to learn about the tribe. I've been there many times.

The tribe has a very nice, small museum here and a great gift shop. Nice selection of art, jewelery, and books. The museum has some beautiful examples of girls' basket caps, I think they are called apxaan in Karuk. There are photographs, fishing tools, beadwork, and ceremonial clothing. Any visit to Happy Camp should include a visit to the People's Center. It's a special place.

Nice clerks! Wide variety of gifts books blankets totes and a large selection of tobacco products. The museum has many show cases of native American (Karuk) artifacts and a library.

Awesome place , your able to learn about there heritage , see some cool artifacts , and meet some really nice respectfull people and it's surrounded by beautiful lanscape. Really take in the great outdoors I encourage anyone and everyone to come visit. Karuk tribe is an awesome tribe
