Ian put us on fish quick and we were catching rainbows all day long. Both my wife and I broke personal our best and we caught more fish than we could count. Ian was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the Kenai. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a fantastic time fishing with Kenai Fly Fish. We had never fished for salmon before, but Ian was detailed and patient giving instruction and helped us pick up the technique quickly. He took us to a great spot on the river and we limited out on Sockeye. Leading up to the trip, Ian was prompt with communication, which was also appreciated. I am so glad we chose Kenai Fly Fish for our first trip to Alaska and would recommend a trip with Ian and Bones to everyone!

Our day on the water with Ian was awesome. We had no idea what to expect because this was our first salmon fishing trip but we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Ian was very knowledgeable and patient as he taught us the techniques. We got to catch plenty of salmon and some trout too!

Ian is the best!!! He is so knowledgable about every area he fishes. He is patient with the newbies and really takes the time to teach you. He wants you to have the best experience and get your limits!! I have fished with ian multiple times over many years and have always had the best day. And his boat dog bones is an added perk!! Couldn’t recommend someone more!

My wife and I went out with Ian this morning after we heard about him from someone we met in Seward. He came highly recommended and he didn’t disappoint. He was very knowledgeable about the fishing in the area. We were with another couple and we all caught our limits. He gives great instruction and continues to help you work on your technique throughout the day. After we caught our limits he served us wonderful breakfast burritos. He then filleted our catch and took us down river telling us about the area. It was a great day with a great guide.

If you want a guide who knows the area, has patience with novice anglers/kids, then stop scrolling and book your next trip with Ian(and his trusty sidekick “Bones”). On a scale of 1-10, our excursion with Ian was a perfect 10! Ian showed us a few techniques to improve our casts and let us have a blast. He was an incredible teacher, fabulous leader, supportive host who became our friend. He knows the river extremely well and put us on big trout all day. We caught our sockeye limit quickly and we finished our full day trip chasing trout. He is devoted to giving his customers a great time while sharing all kinds of river info. He is incredible and we HIGHLY recommend him.

Our day on the water was a perfect, 10+! This was our first time fly fishing and Ian took time to teach and coach all day long. He made sure we were doing things right to catch a lot of fish!!
