Wonderful visitor center to start your visit to the Kenai Wildlife National Refuge Visitor Center. The display showing the salmon run is fascinating as it shows with little lights the salmon swimming from the ocean to the various rivers in the National Refuge. There are also great displays showing the rich diversity of the area in terms of wild animals. The bear in the refuge shows clearly the majesty of these animals. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. A visit to the Kenai Wildlife National Refuge Visitor Center is worth every minute of your time!

Excellent nature's place. The staff here is very nice, helpful and knowledgeble of the area and it's habitants. The visitor center it's packed with information and the trails are beautiful. We even got the pleasure of seeing a mama Moose with it's calf, no more than 25 feet from us at the Centennial Trail. Well worth the time spent here.

The visitor Center was closed due to the COVID, which was a real bummer, but the trailhead had useful information as well as informative plaques throughout the trails. The trail is well managed and the wildlife viewing was abundant. Hikers beware, signs of bears throughout and the moose we encountered were ill tempered. Make plenty of noise and respect a safe distance between animals.

They have a nice walking trail near the statue of the big moose that does about a 3 mile loop with a couple shorter loops. The trails were nice with a boardwalk section down to water. Bring your bug spray and maybe even bear spray as bear frequent the area, per the sign on the trail.

Trail was well maintained. The walkway to the lake was beautiful and not too far. There's just a lot of signs which can make it a tad confusing but over all it was a very easy walk.

This place has great information about the kenai peninsula area. Also has fun little walk through of wildlife, glaciers and Alaskan native history. Great place to look at and have your Littles walk around in.
