I am very happy about my daughter’s experience at Kumon. My oldest daughter started at the end of her 1st grade year and was not confident with reading. She was only reading books with about 4 words a page. After about a month of starting kumon she started feeling more confident and started reading chapter books. My youngest is now in Kindergarten and picking up reading so fast. I am always shocked to hear her reading short sentences on her own. The owner Steve and the staff are always friendly and happy to talk to me about my girls progress. I honestly wish I would have started Kumon earlier for my kids.

My son has been in Kumon with Mr. Steve for over a year. He started the program when he had just started Kindergarten. He has made tremendous progress after a year, from not knowing how to read/write to reading/writing material that I would never thought a 6-year old would. Mr. Steve and his staff had done an awesome job working with him, and providing the guidance that best fit his needs and style of learning.
I highly recommend Mr. Steve @ Kumon Center of El Cerrito to anyone who's looking for a positive learning experience for his/her child.

We enrolled our daughter in the Early Learner’s Program a little over a year ago and have seen tremendous improvement in her reading, writing and cognitive skills since then. Mr. Steve and his staff showed a great deal of patience with our daughter early on as she was getting started. Everyone on his staff is kind and very good about providing one on one instruction. I believe that our daughter’s experience here will prepare her well for kindergarten and beyond. We plan to keep her enrolled at Kumon for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend this place.

My daughter has been in kumon for over year. I started her fairly early because I knew she will be one of the younger Kinders. She had not started kinder yet, but she has shown a lot of progression from drawing lines to pronouncing, writing and reading words.

Steve also does bi-annual reviews for the students to update and point us in the right direction and/or redirection of work if needed.

I highly recommend Steve and his Kumon center.

I can’t wait to start my second child in kumon next year.

My son has been going to this kumon center since kindergarten, and now he is in 3rd grade. I can say that he is very comfortable with both math and English - and thanks to this kumon model of teaching.
Also Steve and the team do a great job of personalizing kumon to fit each kids needs. My son is doing a very high level of math and they continue to support his level of progress and provide excellent guidance and support when needed.
He enjoys going to Kumon and never complains. In fact there are days when he is eager to go to the center and that makes us parents feel good.
Thanks Steve and the staff at the El Cerrito. Highly recommend them.

Steve and the staff at Kumon El Cerrito have created an always-positive environment for my 1st Grader, now 2nd Grader to advance in math and reading. We've seen good progress in both subjects and most importantly that he's developing the confidence to stretch and learn new things.

According to the certificate, Greta has been with Kumon for about 23 years. She is really amazing that she remembers most kids name from two facilities. Her assistants and her works very hard to help children improve their reading, math, time management. Also very encouraging enviornment for children to grow. I am glad to know Greta, and glad my two children are on their way to another level of learning.

My daughter started going to this centre probably 6 months ago n i see a lot of improvement in her reading n writing. Tutors are very helpful n calm with kids. My daughter loves her tutor Rene.
