I can not express what a blessing this program has been for my daughter. They have completely instilled a great work ethic by teaching her to be an independent learner when she was ready. The daily work that is sent home helps continue the foundation that they have set during class time. My daughter is testing 2 grades above and when I asked her why she thinks that is her response was because of “Kumon and Ms. Sammy” it has been worth every penny to see my daughter walk in and out of school with her head held high with confidence because she knows anything she faces academically at school she will be able to handle.

I am sincerely sorry for the parent who had an unfortunate experience with this Kumon. They have not only cultivated a love for learning in my child but they also have pushed her to a level of extreme educational excellence. My daughter is ahead by two grade levels and surpasses her peers academically. Ms. Sammy ensures to hold the children accountable and does nothing but encourages them to do their best even if they are afraid of the process. If your child is older starting with this program it may be a little difficult for them to get accustomed to but PLEASE trust the process. Ms. Sammy has also ensured that I as parent am well informed and supports my child while completing her daily INDEPENDENT assignments. Kumon is designed for the children to be to feel confident in their abilities to critically think and succed in their educational studies. No matter the price or method with this program, I'm here to support Kumon, their staff and more importantly my daughter!!

I was not impressed. Not what I expected at all, and extremely pricy for a program that is basically homework with little to no teacher/instructor involvement. 1 star because they took the time to test my kids. I had such high hopes this program would foster healthy study habits, and tools for my kids to retain, and understand what they are learning in school. I expected a positive space for my kids to develop and advance academically. The one hour I was there to observe, my 7 year old daughter was told by the instructor if she can’t sit in the chair properly, she would have to stand. I looked at the instructor like wow, that’s a little harsh.. The instructor looked back at me and said, “our chairs are not comfortable for a reason.” ..I have no idea what that reason is. By that time, I had already decided this program was definitely not what we were looking for, and I couldn’t get out the door fast enough.

My 15 year old son is in a special needs class and was just treading along; not being pushed to learn what he was capable of. He couldn't stand to do homework or go to school, because he knew he was behind. Going into high school in August had us really concerned with bullying, as kids learned he was a non-reader. That's when I saw a Kumon had open within 5-10 mins from our house. We enrolled our son and he is actually excited to do his work everyday. In less than TWO months he has achieved so much and has new found confidence, so much so that we enrolled his 8 year old sister. They are the best at Kumon of Murrieta; so patient and kind to my kids!!!!!
