They meet you where your child is at and specifically design a tutoring plan based on your child's needs. As a parent to a first grader who attends Kumon, I highly recommend the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Odessa! My son has been attending for two years, since the start of pre-K and he is now reading at a second-grade level thanks to this amazing program. My 3 year old started his math lessons at Kumon of Odessa and we could not be happier. Materials are developed in a way to allow for gradual learning. Now, 4 months later my kid counts till 100 and easily recognizes numbers in and out of sequence. You do have to build a homework routine for most efficiency. It’s not where your kid picks up on their own. For me this is the most complicated part but we manage because we cannot underestimate the advantages of early and continuous learning.

We started at Kumon because my 5 year old was struggling to retain letters and numbers in school and at home. We have been there for almost 3 months. She has learned and retained more in that 3 months than she has all year!! My 8 year old always does well in school, I signed her up for both reading and math as well even tho I didn’t see a huge need for it. I AM SO GLAD I DID! It has taught her efficient study skills, time management, focus and organization. All of which she struggled with before. Ms Courtney at the front desk keeps our experience positive and welcoming. Ms Roopa keeps us on track without feeling pressured. Ms Mackenzie is smart, happy and is really the only reason my 5 year old wanted to go. We definitely had a few weeks struggling to stay on task but all 3 of these wonderful women in addition to the amazing tutors on staff has truly changed the game for our girls and their future. I feel very inspired and grateful we chose to make this investment. We plan to keep them in every year!

Our Daughter needed some help in English and Math. Roopa advised from the beginning where she would be on different times of the year. She did not fail on this timeline. In a couple months my daughter went from reading 130 words with mistakes to 186 word a minute with no mistakes and also passing her math exams with high scores. The program works, however there must be dedication from the student to want to learn and the parents in support. Mrs. Roopa and the people working at Odessa Kumon are great and would recommend this location.

We have had our son at Kumon - Odessa for the last year. It is an excellent program that focuses on the basics of reading, writing and math. Ms. Roopa and Mr. Ron are so kind and caring. They take the time to explain the elements and challenge with my son to do his very best. I also love that the program is not computer based. I tried other tutoring programs with our other kids and Kumon is far superior. I would highly recommend the Kumon program and especially recommend this location.

I am very satisfied with this center! My son started two years ago, and I have seen a huge improvement in his math skills. Basic math skills that were difficult for him and no longer a struggle. He is now up to level with his grade, and I can see his confidence slowly building up. I wanted him to have the math foundation for High School, which is a couple of years away, and I am confident he will have all the knowledge and skills needed to do well; my only regret is not starting him younger.
